the internet was never a regulated public utility before net neutraility and it functions alright either way

2018-12-12 07:45:51 UTC

I know, and it's a really shitty utility because of it

2018-12-12 07:45:55 UTC

no it isnt

2018-12-12 07:45:59 UTC

because, at least in America, it has become so monopolized

2018-12-12 07:46:06 UTC

yeah it's incredibly overpriced

2018-12-12 07:46:16 UTC

monopolized regionally I should say

2018-12-12 07:46:20 UTC

you should say "ISPs" if you're talking about isps

2018-12-12 07:46:35 UTC

yes, sorry, I'm talking about ISPs because that's how you get internet

2018-12-12 07:46:36 UTC

the problem is not that it is monopolized. but that USA hasn't determined its own elites

2018-12-12 07:46:39 UTC

dont just say THE INTERNET because I can't tell what the fuck you're talking about

2018-12-12 07:46:41 UTC

therefore, CHINA did.

2018-12-12 07:47:03 UTC

the only utility we can buy that gives us access to the internet, if you can't deduce that (which you did), then I can't help people who think that slow

2018-12-12 07:47:12 UTC

internet would likely be slower and more expensive as a gov utiltiy, though I agree that ISPs are whores

2018-12-12 07:47:21 UTC

if you don't create your own upper-class CHINA (or another) will. there is no escape from this reality!

2018-12-12 07:47:52 UTC

the fact is that supplying internet to the whole country is just really fucking difficult and expensive. It will have problems.

2018-12-12 07:47:54 UTC

and they will pretend to be USA upper-class, off-course

2018-12-12 07:48:09 UTC

but they are loyal to CHINA

2018-12-12 07:48:31 UTC

I don't think you can control who your upper-class is in a free market economy.

2018-12-12 07:48:40 UTC

those problems exist independent of the person who address them, the problem that does exist with privatized internet is, as you say, whoring

2018-12-12 07:48:49 UTC

that is my point. I am against free-market/equal oportunity.

2018-12-12 07:49:00 UTC

@Deleted User not really... First time setup? Yes. Maintenance? Meh

2018-12-12 07:49:00 UTC

..what?

2018-12-12 07:49:02 UTC

but in truth, it doesn't exist. it never did, never will.

2018-12-12 07:49:08 UTC

too slow, sorry

2018-12-12 07:49:25 UTC

Equal opportunity is too big of a term.

2018-12-12 07:49:40 UTC

have you ever seen union men repair something dude

2018-12-12 07:49:53 UTC

maintenance is not meh

2018-12-12 07:50:10 UTC

@Nikitis why would you want to control anyone? That's just freaking perverse and disgusting

2018-12-12 07:50:13 UTC

free-market/equal opportunity will never exist. not in a million year, not anywhere in the universe. If you don't determine who your economic elites are, another nation will. and they will pretend to be your elites. but they are loyal to someone else.

2018-12-12 07:50:29 UTC
2018-12-12 07:50:39 UTC

Lmao I never mentioned I wanted to control someone, that was @Diokun

2018-12-12 07:51:07 UTC

no, right, you just wanted to take most of the money they earned

2018-12-12 07:51:19 UTC

@Nikitis you literally said "I don't think you can control who your upper-class is in a free market economy."

2018-12-12 07:51:29 UTC
2018-12-12 07:51:34 UTC

That was a reply to @Diokun

2018-12-12 07:51:59 UTC

@Nikitis exactly. You said it.

2018-12-12 07:52:01 UTC

it has always being that way. if you don't create your elites, another nation will. its very cheap, nation-wise. 10 billions create an elite inside USA using another nations money. now you have a USA elite that is actually loyal to CHINA.

2018-12-12 07:52:41 UTC

we used to control who the elite was in the past, in the traditionalist systems of old.

2018-12-12 07:52:48 UTC

"create your elites" what drugs are you on?

2018-12-12 07:52:49 UTC

it was called nobility class.

2018-12-12 07:53:26 UTC

equal rights gives rights to foreign nations to create elites inside your own country, it gives the impression of becoming a rich country. but that money works for somebody else.
