i see it as a good thing

2019-02-17 02:54:31 UTC

it means its an easier time uphill than it may look

2019-02-17 02:54:47 UTC

Truth.

2019-02-17 02:55:27 UTC

so in your school and friend circle, how do people feel about feminism, mens rights, all the issues, etc? like whats the general feeling?

2019-02-17 07:16:07 UTC

I don’t think the feminist movement began to oppress men. There was certainly a time it was needed, but that time has long since passed. I just don’t think they want to accept that so keep making up more and more problems for themselves.

2019-02-17 15:43:49 UTC

quite obviously

2019-02-17 15:43:55 UTC

it's harmful in its current stage though

2019-02-17 15:44:01 UTC

that's why it needs to lose popularity

2019-02-17 15:45:27 UTC

Feminism oppressed men the second women were given the vote. Men only got it for fighting and dying in war. Women had no such responsibility.

2019-02-17 15:47:23 UTC

Feminism has never been about equality, it a been about benefitting women at mens expense

2019-02-17 16:55:19 UTC

i mean, i dont totally agree with that @InsaneCaterpilla . there are definitely valid womens issues that feminism addressed

2019-02-17 16:55:29 UTC

to say ALL of it is wrong is unfair'

2019-02-17 16:56:45 UTC

I don't think I said it didn't address issues. It addressed them by elavating women above men

2019-02-17 16:58:21 UTC

i mean not for things like the right to vote or equality in the workplace. obviously feminism is doing that now, but there was a time when it had a legitimate case

2019-02-17 17:00:14 UTC

For things like the right to vote they were oppressing men by giving themselves a priviledge men still don't have in many countries today, the right to vote without having to go to war

2019-02-17 17:00:45 UTC

It has been about putting women above men since its beginning

2019-02-17 17:01:04 UTC

People don't realize when women were organizing for the right to vote in many countries outside the US a large part of the male population also could not vote.

2019-02-17 17:01:45 UTC

and women's case for the right to vote was usually made by denigrating working class men ("why should a drunk, wife beating, coal miner be allowed to vote and not a cultured lady such as myself")

2019-02-17 17:02:52 UTC

Also feminists were the ones promoting the white feather movement, which shamed men that didnt wanna join the draft

2019-02-17 17:03:41 UTC

thats true, they were evilk

2019-02-17 17:03:51 UTC

they also called for the war in the first place

2019-02-17 17:04:05 UTC

they wrote to politicians and and advocated for "total war"

2019-02-17 17:13:22 UTC

And they did it knowing that their entire contribution would be to read about the casualties in the papers.

2019-02-17 17:13:59 UTC

But Hillary said that women were the primary victims of war /s

2019-02-17 17:14:22 UTC

Stupid woman

2019-02-17 17:40:42 UTC

We need to teach women to not be heightist

2019-02-17 18:04:26 UTC

We can't Bobby, just like the fat Acceptance movement.. It won't work

2019-02-17 18:50:21 UTC

i mean, i dont thinkyou can dictate attraction. if someone prefers a certain height or weight, thats just them.

2019-02-17 18:50:46 UTC

but it shouldnt be acceptable to publicly ock someone for it, height is something you cant control at all]]

2019-02-17 18:50:51 UTC

weight can be controled to a degree

2019-02-17 18:50:53 UTC

height cannot

2019-02-17 18:51:09 UTC

Or a small penis for that matter

2019-02-17 18:54:12 UTC

I mean, beauty standards mostly come from culture anyway. There's no reason we can't change them. The idea that attraction is some purely biological thing is... not really founded in any science.

2019-02-17 18:54:27 UTC

So yes, shame people for having unrealistic standards, IMO

2019-02-17 18:55:08 UTC

Well if someone has unrealistic standards, he/she probably wont find a partner or he/she will have to settle

2019-02-17 18:55:16 UTC

So I dont see why its a problem tbh

2019-02-17 18:56:20 UTC

Yeah, but it seems like people are more upset about unnecessary bullying? Small penis jokes, fat jokes, jokes about height.

2019-02-17 18:56:29 UTC

It's more than just attraction for dating or sex.

2019-02-17 18:57:26 UTC

Well I guess two things can be true at once
- you can have unrealistic beauty standards
- you dont have to be rude and shame people for their appearance

2019-02-17 18:57:57 UTC

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up.

2019-02-17 18:58:16 UTC

I mean I dont have a problem with fat acceptance if it was meant to combat bullying
