@Night Terror I think that belongs in the <#513347160226398228> channel if anywhere
OOF
Why do you guys think people started being sexist towards men in the first place?
What do you think the basis of it was?
To right the sexism women face but if anything it's just making stuff worse
When you fight fire with fire everyone gets burned
To test men
good words, man
@Karbon I think a lot of feminism/SJWs is being organized for political power
Good thought
so what brought you to the MRM?
I just want to know more about it/get more involved. I don't want to grow up in a society that starts hating men.
I just hate the thought of that, and it seems like it's in the dark too much.
and you're not the only one thinking it
there are MRAs everywhere who dont say it publicly, but think it
Damn.
Yeah.
That's probably the saddest part
it means its an easier time uphill than it may look
Truth.
so in your school and friend circle, how do people feel about feminism, mens rights, all the issues, etc? like whats the general feeling?
I don’t think the feminist movement began to oppress men. There was certainly a time it was needed, but that time has long since passed. I just don’t think they want to accept that so keep making up more and more problems for themselves.
quite obviously
it's harmful in its current stage though
that's why it needs to lose popularity
Feminism oppressed men the second women were given the vote. Men only got it for fighting and dying in war. Women had no such responsibility.
Feminism has never been about equality, it a been about benefitting women at mens expense
i mean, i dont totally agree with that @InsaneCaterpilla . there are definitely valid womens issues that feminism addressed
to say ALL of it is wrong is unfair'
I don't think I said it didn't address issues. It addressed them by elavating women above men
i mean not for things like the right to vote or equality in the workplace. obviously feminism is doing that now, but there was a time when it had a legitimate case
For things like the right to vote they were oppressing men by giving themselves a priviledge men still don't have in many countries today, the right to vote without having to go to war
It has been about putting women above men since its beginning
People don't realize when women were organizing for the right to vote in many countries outside the US a large part of the male population also could not vote.
and women's case for the right to vote was usually made by denigrating working class men ("why should a drunk, wife beating, coal miner be allowed to vote and not a cultured lady such as myself")
Also feminists were the ones promoting the white feather movement, which shamed men that didnt wanna join the draft
thats true, they were evilk
they also called for the war in the first place
