I was going to crosspost a thread from r/writing that was a very well put together breakdown on the problems with writing 'strong female characters' today

but I realized it literally has nothing to do with Men's Rights

so I was sad

Plenty of strong female characters already exist... there's no need to push to make more than male just because 'gender'

Technically there should be a push to make more male ones since males statistically have worse reading skills than girls.

The agenda just makes that worse every year.

yeah it specifically addresses how badly 'strong female' characters are written

well to be fair it more focuses on how they are almost always written as physically equals to men which is utter nonsense even in superpowered universes

I thought about posting it to r/Egalitarianism but that subreddit is so dead its a fucking joke

it was eggs and sausage gravy on toast

Egg sausage and bacon balms are nice.. never thought to put sausage on toast though

I like making potato hash, spaghetti bolognese, homemade sausage rolls and pies for proper cooking meals

Not sure to be honest. I've been lurking on the subreddit for years. Been posting for maybe 1 or 2 years

I'm not particularly involved in any daily activism, so to speak, so maybe it would be a stretch to call me an "activist" in any substantial way

However, I do agree with the vast majority of concerns brought up on the subreddit (though not all) and would like to see a counter-voice become more prominent. It's extremely disappointing to me how lopsided the system has become and how taboo it is to even discuss this.

I was also the victim of a false allegation that nearly destroyed my life (but thankfully didn't)

I was already somewhat lurking on the subreddit prior to that. When it got personal and nearly destroyed my life, it hit me hard and I realized how many others face similar situations (and I'm sure many are not as fortunate as me to escape it)

The legal system is stacked against males, at least in the U.S. and western world. It's an open secret and yet it's tolerated. Very odd.

On top of that, it's now a regular occurrence for me to see females given preferential treatment in promotions and hiring at work (i'm in tech). I one time outright saw a male thrown under the bus as an underperformer because they needed to meet a low-performance quota and the only person lower performing was a female (the director said "we can't have a female at the bottom")
