First of all, to think that *no data would leak out to public organisations,* or that *public sector doesn't ever get hold of this information* (even as right no much of this is being researched by the public sector R&D) seems highly ad hoc to me

We will gradually reach the level where nations will merge and it makes no sense to argue that we won't. It literally demands an ad hoc construct or series of events for this development to be overturn, which indicates its not a very realistic prediction.
