one is realistic, other isn't

2018-12-27 06:19:35 UTC

both literally want it

2018-12-27 06:20:04 UTC

what is wrong with open borders? what are your contentions with it?

2018-12-27 06:20:09 UTC

basically you're on the side of the koch brothers

2018-12-27 06:20:17 UTC

its pretty obvious gerc

2018-12-27 06:20:25 UTC

This is something that *people in the field* are predicting, which is based in the kind of findings that have been made across the past decade or so. Similarly like futurist could predict things semi-accurately following the discovery of General Relativity, 20th century rocketry and study of orbits, space and more, and such, it is not impossible to predict what will happen as a consequence of us increasingly understanding what neurochemical processes are involved in the producing of intelligence, creativity and more. Nootropics is currently taking mere baby steps, but it will become a huge industry over time.

2018-12-27 06:20:56 UTC

Open borders are the key to cultural massification.

2018-12-27 06:21:30 UTC

you will still have a certain level of diversity, because people self segregate

2018-12-27 06:22:13 UTC

The minorities will self segregate, and eventually disappear

2018-12-27 06:22:30 UTC

I mean to just ignore for a moment the high-level intelligence research associated with AI development and consciousness research, just look at some low-level research that will yield us many benefits - research on why green tea and other herbs like it improve memory, combat alzheimer's, why they have the ability to improve neurochemical processes associated with intelligence, etc. etc. There's so much research being conducted on all levels that to think that this won't yield us benefits like the ones that futurists are predicting (on the basis of research such as this) is strange to me.

2018-12-27 06:22:31 UTC

Unless there is milf

2018-12-27 06:22:34 UTC

you're looking at a very very very long time frame

2018-12-27 06:22:48 UTC

Arent you also ?

2018-12-27 06:23:35 UTC

you're looking at half a millennia or something when all diversity disappears and everything levels out

2018-12-27 06:23:45 UTC

that's at the very least

2018-12-27 06:23:48 UTC

probably longer

2018-12-27 06:23:57 UTC

I mean I'm not talking about people becoming one blob, I'm talking about nations merging

2018-12-27 06:24:00 UTC

Do you consider our world diverse ?

2018-12-27 06:24:02 UTC

those are two different things

2018-12-27 06:24:20 UTC

the world is diverse, yes

2018-12-27 06:24:45 UTC

@Xinyue xYou would have a dude with 3 doctor degrees cleaning the streets

2018-12-27 06:24:47 UTC

see xin, i agree with you for all the wrong reasons lol

2018-12-27 06:25:34 UTC

africa will be a blob, middle east will be a blob, asia will be a blob, europe and russia

2018-12-27 06:25:42 UTC

but not mixing per se

2018-12-27 06:25:47 UTC

There's no reason to segregate around the racial lines

2018-12-27 06:25:48 UTC

none

2018-12-27 06:25:56 UTC

once the things that have been discussed here come to pass,

2018-12-27 06:26:12 UTC

True, but races bring cultures, you cant bring races alone.

2018-12-27 06:26:15 UTC

the one argument race realists have - that IQ differences make for broken societies - vanishes

2018-12-27 06:26:15 UTC

which they hopefully don't xinue

2018-12-27 06:26:17 UTC

Go to bed

2018-12-27 06:26:27 UTC

what if the capitalists win and hold back the technology from the public

2018-12-27 06:26:30 UTC

you will outsource human Evolution to a machine?

2018-12-27 06:26:38 UTC

Why would they? @Bee What incentive would they have?

2018-12-27 06:26:42 UTC

for them

2018-12-27 06:26:52 UTC

easy to control people that way

2018-12-27 06:26:55 UTC

we have no idea about half of why things evolved the way they did

2018-12-27 06:26:56 UTC

keep them dumb

2018-12-27 06:27:01 UTC

leave nature alone

2018-12-27 06:27:25 UTC

First of all, to think that *no data would leak out to public organisations,* or that *public sector doesn't ever get hold of this information* (even as right no much of this is being researched by the public sector R&D) seems highly ad hoc to me

2018-12-27 06:27:32 UTC

@Bee kraWhats the difference between the capitalists you are talking about and a socialist dictator ?
