a president could be elected for life but for any lifelong position theres always the concern that while they once might have been entirely devoted to their country that the devotion wanes over time. there's also no reason to believe that a prince would be equally as devoted.

All aspects of life serve naught, for the true existence is after death, if you ever have a chance to die for believing in God, you're supposed to embrace it

2019-01-11 23:21:22 UTC

every religion preaches fearlessness in the face of death

2019-01-11 23:21:25 UTC

@CronoSaturn Usually they have years of indoctrination. Of course it varies, but most successors, as those who came before them once were; tend to be humble Kings.

2019-01-11 23:22:06 UTC

Not all, but yes, fearlessness is great for a combat religion

2019-01-11 23:22:21 UTC

>le combat religion

2019-01-11 23:22:23 UTC

right but history shows that not all princes were effectively groomed for rule. why take that risk?

2019-01-11 23:22:25 UTC

That went out weird

2019-01-11 23:22:26 UTC

atheist reveals his face

2019-01-11 23:22:59 UTC

I have to rephrase it, shut up ailurophile

2019-01-11 23:23:24 UTC

if ur not catholic ur opinion is useless

Because every choice of a new ruler is a risk, a new President could fuck us all, a new Dictator could fuck everything up, a Prince groomed from start is the safest choice

2019-01-11 23:23:51 UTC

all religions are inherently assertive/violent

2019-01-11 23:23:58 UTC

you'll never have a peaceful one

2019-01-11 23:24:05 UTC

Bhudaism?

2019-01-11 23:24:21 UTC

@Bird Wizard You can burn at the stake.

philosophy is one of peace, in practice u get your typical human behavior

2019-01-11 23:26:14 UTC

right, peace is not in line with nature

2019-01-11 23:26:21 UTC

Fearlessness is great for the combat that naturally exists in a worldful of tribes with conflicting interests

2019-01-11 23:26:28 UTC

yes it is

2019-01-11 23:26:39 UTC

@π•Ώπ–”π–™π–†π–‘π–Žπ–™π–†π–—π–Žπ–†π–“ π•²π–—π–†π–“π–‰π–†π–‰π–‰π–‰π–ž not all princes are groomed from birth though and not all princes are willing or capable of carrying out their duty as they are required to. take commodus for example.

2019-01-11 23:26:42 UTC

Even the most violent creatures need rest

2019-01-11 23:26:44 UTC

As a Christian, I admit that most religions have been violent. Most of them are dead now, however. Though some remain that actively proclaim violence in the name of the divine; **Islam.**

2019-01-11 23:27:09 UTC

@CronoSaturn That is why you sometimes skip the oldest son, and go to the next one.

2019-01-11 23:27:27 UTC

right but how is that determined in a monarchical system?

2019-01-11 23:27:37 UTC

Religion is violent because man is violent

2019-01-11 23:27:45 UTC

@Deleted User eternal peace is not

2019-01-11 23:29:22 UTC

@Bearer Of The Curse fearlessness is venerated. if it's not, your religion dies

2019-01-11 23:30:46 UTC

unless its too fearless. then it dies anyway

2019-01-11 23:31:23 UTC

u get suicide bombings and setting yourself aflame

2019-01-11 23:32:29 UTC

right but its important to remember that in a religious context that those *could* be valid actions so long as they gather more adherents

2019-01-11 23:33:13 UTC

not everything is about gathering adherents

2019-01-11 23:34:52 UTC

right but in terms of a religions survival or practice enlightenment is only valid so long as it draws people to the faith. your religion could be as enlightened as it could be but if theres no-one practicing it, it doesnt exist
