how is that different to say, a president then?
To the Christian dogma, life itself is vanity
@CronoSaturn Presidents could serve the same purpose, but most often, they're only elected for 4-5 years before they disappear from the public and a new one takes his place. A King however spends his life, devoted to his country, and the Prince would succeed his burden, one day.
A President is just some normal guy whereas a King is someone above all, someone to strive to be and a Moral guidance
^
I don't get how people fail to get simple things like the difference of it's and its
kings are boring
it's not, since you're judged based on your deeds. Life is simply a road the soul has to take
@Bearer Of The Curse Its pretty simple, actually.
a president could be elected for life but for any lifelong position theres always the concern that while they once might have been entirely devoted to their country that the devotion wanes over time. there's also no reason to believe that a prince would be equally as devoted.
All aspects of life serve naught, for the true existence is after death, if you ever have a chance to die for believing in God, you're supposed to embrace it
every religion preaches fearlessness in the face of death
@CronoSaturn Usually they have years of indoctrination. Of course it varies, but most successors, as those who came before them once were; tend to be humble Kings.
Not all, but yes, fearlessness is great for a combat religion
>le combat religion
right but history shows that not all princes were effectively groomed for rule. why take that risk?
That went out weird
atheist reveals his face
I have to rephrase it, shut up ailurophile
if ur not catholic ur opinion is useless
Because every choice of a new ruler is a risk, a new President could fuck us all, a new Dictator could fuck everything up, a Prince groomed from start is the safest choice
And Divine Right maybe
all religions are inherently assertive/violent
you'll never have a peaceful one
Bhudaism?
@Bird Wizard You can burn at the stake.
^'
Buddism isn't peacefull at all
philosophy is one of peace, in practice u get your typical human behavior
Don't take the Western version of it, take by the Buddist burning himself up in protest
the Slaughtering of Muslims, Christians, and ((long noses))) in China/India
right, peace is not in line with nature
Fearlessness is great for the combat that naturally exists in a worldful of tribes with conflicting interests
yes it is
@πΏπππππππππππ π²πππππππππ not all princes are groomed from birth though and not all princes are willing or capable of carrying out their duty as they are required to. take commodus for example.
Even the most violent creatures need rest
As a Christian, I admit that most religions have been violent. Most of them are dead now, however. Though some remain that actively proclaim violence in the name of the divine; **Islam.**
@CronoSaturn That is why you sometimes skip the oldest son, and go to the next one.
That's why you breed many bitches

right but how is that determined in a monarchical system?
