i don't actually own any crypto. but i have researched it alot

basic premise in the begining was a way to pay ppl online for using their pc's as extra processing power for research projects. kinda like those seti plugins u get for ur pc to help them grind out data. crypto is based upon this idea

this idea was first started way before bitcoin even came out, it was early days of the internet

the crypto currency idea was to exploit this concept into a monetary system
