@superpickle Just curious about an Orthobro's opinion here -- I'm a prospective Catholic (though I never fully wrote off Orthodoxy either), are you actually of the opinion that Catholic theology is "destroyed"/beyond redemption just because the Pope is nutters? Don't get me wrong, I'm no fan either, but I'm wondering what you think the implications are for the regular Catholic.
Well I am no expert as I am just getting into orthodoxy the pope is a big part of how the Catholic Church works so if he is corrupted then the whole of church teaching will be corrupted as the pope can appoint the bishop who share his view just look at the Amazon synod and how that has gone while I think things can change for the better I don’t see it coming anytime soon sorry I don’t have any thing better to say on the matter as I am just getting into orthodoxy @Orc Slayer
