The crash from colorado, the sounds of the explosions, tires blowing up from the heat, conscious and unconscious bodies trapped and burning to death, the fire and smoke, the sirens echoing across the town, people running through the smoke, bodies being dragged out

And seeing that burning truck the other day reduced to smoldering debris, police cars all around it, 2 bodies covered in sheets, officers holding up sheets to block the view of traffic, blood and bits everywhere. I was driving that same road, over the same ice, the same snow, could've been me and my codriver

Or that truck sitting there with its flashers on, a motorcycle on the road a few hundred feet down, a mangled body pinned under the trailer, police and ambulances all around

I think about all the people I've put in danger

I hear screams and see myself crashing in my dreams, sometimes it wakes me up at night
