Yes the Qwain is only in the enhanced edition.

The people that remade the enhanced edition were full on social justice warriors. They also added a new installment in the series that is famously bad for its social justice causes including lgbt and trannies. Mind you trannies in a fantasy setting make little sense since there are items that actually magically switch your sex.
