Haven't really checked. I was too invested in not crying and hearing what the lecture was about.
But from what I remember there was just a bunch of families.

Church is a good place to start, but it can come with its own set of problems.

Well, I can only really speak from a guy's perspective. But pervy old guys is certianly one for the ladies. Though that is a problem anywhere.

True that is a problem anywhere. You amongst others recommend online dating. Tried it, I didn't like it. It makes me uncomfortable and it's just odd. Scrolling through profiles seeing face after face and everyone had the same bio.
They love to travel and they're outgoing.
It was like shopping for a date with a stranger. Very strange.

I had that problem, too. But I eventually kind of accepted that's the way things are done these days.

I would anticipate the problem with a lot of churches is that they don't have a very large single male population in your age bracket.

Though many denominations reject it. Prosperity doctrine has oozed its way into a lot of dark crevaces. It has had interactions with boomers that has resulted in churches punting guys when they turn 18 pretty regularly.

No they don't.
But I'm kind of learning to accept that my probability of finding someone is low. It is what it is, not everyone makes it.
