wait are you serious?

2018-10-09 03:07:16 UTC

Quran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie.

2018-10-09 03:07:22 UTC

Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly.

2018-10-09 03:07:33 UTC

Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49)

2018-10-09 03:07:39 UTC

Quran (66:2) - "Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths..."

2018-10-09 03:07:44 UTC

Quran (40:28) - A man is introduced as a believer, but one who had to "hide his faith" among those who are not believers.

2018-10-09 03:07:55 UTC

Quran (2:225) - "Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts"

2018-10-09 03:08:07 UTC

Quran (3:54) - "And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers." The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which literally means 'deceit'. If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21)

The wikipedia article tries to make it sound as nice as possible apparently, but just look up Taqiya, the first paragraph essentially says "muslims are allowed to lie to non-muslims"

2018-10-09 03:09:26 UTC

In Islam, Taqiya or taqiyya (Arabic: تقیة‎ taqiyyah, literally "prudence, fear")[1][2] is a precautionary dissimulation or denial of religious belief and practice in the face of persecution.[1][3][4][5] Another term for this concept, kitmān (lit. "action of covering, dissimulation"), has a more specific meaning of dissimulation by silence or omission.[6][7]

I disagree with your perception on Muhammed as well

2018-10-09 03:10:37 UTC

"Muhammad is a narcissist, a pedophile, a mass murderer,
a terrorist, a misogynist, a lecher, a cult leader, a madman
a rapist, a torturer, an assassin and a looter."
Quote from a former Muslim, Ali Sina, who offered $50,000
to anyone who could prove this wrong based on Islamic texts.

The reward has gone unclaimed.

I read the /r/exmuslim subreddit. I feel bad for those guys. Leaving Islam almost always means complete abandonment by your family.

2018-10-09 03:14:17 UTC

tldr: all religions are bad

@Sam Amari. Too right mate. Same thing happened to me when I walked away from religion from a staunchly Catholic family.

2018-10-09 06:35:04 UTC

How much does muscle soreness differ from muscle pain in terms of feeling?

2018-10-09 06:56:30 UTC

Soreness would likely be a dull ache. Pain would be sharper. Soreness doesn’t really “hurt” per se, it’s more annoying and over a general area. Pain would usually be in a particular spot you can pinpoint.

2018-10-09 06:57:53 UTC

Okay.

2018-10-09 07:31:33 UTC

How are we, boys?

2018-10-09 07:34:58 UTC

2018-10-09 07:36:51 UTC

2018-10-09 07:41:55 UTC

You know i never understood the idea that beating women permanently ruins your relationship

2018-10-09 07:42:46 UTC

I know guys who have beat their girlfriends and they eventually made up and the relationship still works

2018-10-09 07:44:08 UTC

Sometimes corporal punishment has long term benefits.

2018-10-09 07:44:49 UTC

Its called tough love and it has an excellent track record of success.

2018-10-09 07:49:20 UTC

hahah

2018-10-09 07:49:32 UTC

yeah but you aren't allowed to these days

2018-10-09 07:51:05 UTC

When reasoning and talking shit out doesn't work, you're left with no option, nobody really wants to go about hitting people.

2018-10-09 08:07:06 UTC

I am referring to family members like sisters, cousins and grandkids etc

2018-10-09 08:07:45 UTC

Of course you have to beat your sibling if they do something very wrong, you do it for their own good.
