couldnt belonginess also come from being part of an online community, like this one
belonging can come from knowing that you are one of the best in something and to strife for more
how does belonging come from that
i thought belonging comes from being accepted by a community
belonginess and love is more a part of something as family, group for sharing your hobbies (like your sport team) part of group
being approved by one is what actually gives it value
Good morning kiddos, what are we talking about?
but it's a need, it's not the most important for the hierarchy
knowing that you do something that you like right
@Andrew The Meme King fundamental truths
always nce to have
Huh, interesting
btw, do you guys agree with this: all positive emotions that we experience share a common component being 'desire'
but i dont really understand
without desire, we don't invoke positive emotions by doing something]
why the maslow hierarchy request you to validate all step one by one
true, i didnt understand that too
because its gradal
from the most humble to the most greedy xD
I mean, being content is having a desire filled, that's a positive emotion from doing something
one is freedom
and you can be loved, or in toxic relation ship without know it, and you will never have the feeling to be free
feel of belonging is so nice and romantic BUT nowadays you dont really commit your life to anything because you are discared at the drop of a hat
Belong to group of men, not a woman who fundamentally looks for a reason to ditch you
@JDB not sure about the desire but i can tell you i feel no pleasure in things i dont want
i agree with that Andrew, I guess is the real meaning
@Andrew The Meme King true - but you only feel content having completed a desire. and aren't the positive emotions from being content short-lived? - whereas positive emotions while pursuing a desire will be released until that desire is fulfilled.
It feels good to finish a task, even one you don't want to do because then it's ***DONE***
It feels good to be done with something
the intial 'gateway' to a posititve emotion is having desire in what you do
I could see the desire to getting something you don't want to do done
yeah exactly
Nobody does anything without a reason
Is that what you're saying?
yeah, the reason i brought this up is because i've been thinking about a fundamental truth that we all live by, "We prefer experiencing positive emotions over negative emotions." and then i asked myself "What is the common trait that all 'things' that invoke a positive emotion share?"
and i thought that trait was desire
it's simple but i'm trying to pinpoint fundamentals that i can build my life around
you can experience positive emotions while you are in pain btw 😄
as long as you have desire
***masochism much?***
