why the maslow hierarchy request you to validate all step one by one

2018-11-20 18:24:10 UTC

true, i didnt understand that too

2018-11-20 18:24:13 UTC

because its gradal

2018-11-20 18:24:29 UTC

from the most humble to the most greedy xD

2018-11-20 18:24:40 UTC

I mean, being content is having a desire filled, that's a positive emotion from doing something

2018-11-20 18:24:47 UTC

why you cant go the esteem and self-actualization without belonginess and love

2018-11-20 18:24:55 UTC

one is freedom

2018-11-20 18:25:39 UTC

and you can be loved, or in toxic relation ship without know it, and you will never have the feeling to be free

2018-11-20 18:25:46 UTC

feel of belonging is so nice and romantic BUT nowadays you dont really commit your life to anything because you are discared at the drop of a hat

2018-11-20 18:26:52 UTC

Belong to group of men, not a woman who fundamentally looks for a reason to ditch you

2018-11-20 18:27:26 UTC

@JDB not sure about the desire but i can tell you i feel no pleasure in things i dont want

2018-11-20 18:27:32 UTC

i agree with that Andrew, I guess is the real meaning

2018-11-20 18:28:37 UTC

@Andrew The Meme King true - but you only feel content having completed a desire. and aren't the positive emotions from being content short-lived? - whereas positive emotions while pursuing a desire will be released until that desire is fulfilled.

2018-11-20 18:28:48 UTC

It feels good to finish a task, even one you don't want to do because then it's ***DONE***

2018-11-20 18:29:26 UTC

It feels good to be done with something

2018-11-20 18:29:26 UTC

the intial 'gateway' to a posititve emotion is having desire in what you do

2018-11-20 18:29:57 UTC

I could see the desire to getting something you don't want to do done

2018-11-20 18:30:06 UTC

yeah exactly

2018-11-20 18:30:13 UTC

Nobody does anything without a reason

2018-11-20 18:30:19 UTC

Is that what you're saying?

2018-11-20 18:31:30 UTC

yeah, the reason i brought this up is because i've been thinking about a fundamental truth that we all live by, "We prefer experiencing positive emotions over negative emotions." and then i asked myself "What is the common trait that all 'things' that invoke a positive emotion share?"

2018-11-20 18:31:44 UTC

and i thought that trait was desire

2018-11-20 18:32:04 UTC

it's simple but i'm trying to pinpoint fundamentals that i can build my life around

2018-11-20 18:32:25 UTC

you can experience positive emotions while you are in pain btw 😄

2018-11-20 18:32:36 UTC

as long as you have desire

2018-11-20 18:33:16 UTC

***masochism much?***

2018-11-20 18:33:42 UTC

yeah lol

2018-11-20 18:33:47 UTC

Lmao

2018-11-20 18:33:50 UTC

there would be no masochism if this was impossible 😄

2018-11-20 18:34:29 UTC

is there another trait that i actually derived desire from though?

2018-11-20 18:34:37 UTC

feeling inadequate?

2018-11-20 18:34:46 UTC

maybe that's what pushes us forward

2018-11-20 18:34:52 UTC

That's a desire to be better

2018-11-20 18:34:59 UTC

but it's subconscious so we dont realise it

2018-11-20 18:35:04 UTC

if you are inadequate you are unsure to do somethingfrom my experience

2018-11-20 18:35:32 UTC

what invokes desire?

2018-11-20 18:35:46 UTC

it's inadequacy right?

2018-11-20 18:35:50 UTC

means to an end

2018-11-20 18:36:09 UTC

i dont understand what you mean @Commanda Knuckel

2018-11-20 18:36:11 UTC

cud u explain

2018-11-20 18:37:10 UTC

if i want to be the fancy old man i always dreamt of i will see everything that allows me to become such as desirable
