@Sigma it's a void left by social conditioning - you can fill it with something else

2018-11-20 21:48:10 UTC

The way I fill it is through doing stuff

2018-11-20 21:48:16 UTC

MMA fills it

2018-11-20 21:48:19 UTC

easily

2018-11-20 21:49:03 UTC

self-actualisation is much more fulfilling then meeting your emotional needs - you have a passion for MMA and that's great - don't let anyone sway u off ur path

2018-11-20 21:49:27 UTC

once you self-actualise, you'll have a scope of how everything fits together

2018-11-20 21:50:03 UTC

The self-actualization can be visualized by the pyramid. Moslow's hierarchy of human needs

2018-11-20 21:50:16 UTC

yeah exactly

2018-11-20 21:50:17 UTC

emotional needs are at the bottom

2018-11-20 21:50:19 UTC

that's what im refering to

2018-11-20 21:50:26 UTC

physiological needs are at the bottom

2018-11-20 21:50:32 UTC

yea

2018-11-20 21:50:34 UTC

emotional are 2 under self actualisation

2018-11-20 21:50:40 UTC

i tihnk 2

2018-11-20 21:50:40 UTC

ooh

2018-11-20 21:51:10 UTC

you're right

2018-11-20 21:51:14 UTC

the top one, that wasn't published but maslow was working on just before he died, was self-transcendence that is actually on top of self-actualisation

2018-11-20 21:51:15 UTC

just googled it

2018-11-20 21:51:32 UTC

I've heard of self- transcendence

2018-11-20 21:51:42 UTC

Don't know how to do that

2018-11-20 21:51:56 UTC

@JDB yeah but I think there is a reason why we have this void, and the reason take place in childhood. i think some part of the maslow hierarchy are build during childhood. If they are not built well, there are those voids

2018-11-20 21:52:01 UTC

the only way to self-actualise, and then transcend, is to be alone in your head and 'tidy up' things.

2018-11-20 21:52:28 UTC

don't really know how to self-actualize either, but I've always thought that you need to meet all of the things below the top of the pyramid before you can self-actualize

2018-11-20 21:52:49 UTC

@Shido yeah, it';s fustrating but the sooner you become conscious of this the sooner you can fill it and build further layers of 'meaing'

2018-11-20 21:52:51 UTC

I agree with Shido on this one

2018-11-20 21:53:15 UTC

I don't think all of my needs were really met during childhood, which is why I have emotional problems

2018-11-20 21:53:47 UTC

well isnt self-actualising when you, 'self', actually realise, 'actualise', your potential and personal mission in life

2018-11-20 21:53:49 UTC

I have trouble sticking with meditation

2018-11-20 21:54:04 UTC

be alone is one the key to face your fears and your negative thoughs

2018-11-20 21:54:43 UTC

Well being alone without any internet, or technology

2018-11-20 21:54:55 UTC

go into the woods by yourself and reflect

2018-11-20 21:54:58 UTC

so the only way to do that is to ask yourself the big questions :(quoting from avatar the last airbender) "who are you? and what do you want!?"

2018-11-20 21:55:00 UTC

get into nature

2018-11-20 21:55:04 UTC

yep

2018-11-20 21:55:22 UTC

running alone with your though, exercice,

2018-11-20 21:55:29 UTC

i do a thing

2018-11-20 21:55:35 UTC

a mysterious one

2018-11-20 21:55:48 UTC

when i learned about the validation concept

2018-11-20 21:56:06 UTC

i changed my phone number and give it only to my family

2018-11-20 21:56:17 UTC

i cut everything from social network

2018-11-20 21:57:08 UTC

i just want to be alone and to face it deeper
