Very good book to supplement Mastery

2018-11-20 22:49:17 UTC

yep, this is why i hate school - they train you to not take risks and to just reason by analogy. when you reason by analogy you can not question the principles that the analogies follow because you don't know them - you need to learn from first principles to quesiton things - the same with being foolish - foolish people are honest with themselves on what they do and don't know and only accept knowledge when it fits into their layered 'tree of knowledge'

2018-11-20 22:49:21 UTC

It's also about pursuing a life purpose

2018-11-20 22:50:21 UTC

Actually, The War of Art is about resistance

2018-11-20 22:50:45 UTC

sounds like a must-read for personal dev

2018-11-20 22:50:47 UTC

When you pursue something, you face resistance

2018-11-20 22:51:08 UTC

He talks about what it is, what forms it comes in, and a little bit on how to defeat it

2018-11-20 22:51:46 UTC

Distractions, escapism, those are forms of resistance that distract you from pursuing your purpose

2018-11-20 22:52:06 UTC

family, friends, judgement, emotions

2018-11-21 02:14:40 UTC

Time passes only as fast as you use it.

2018-11-21 02:16:15 UTC

Yea but ya get tired and then not use the time, discord doesn’t help

2018-11-21 02:17:14 UTC

😐

2018-11-21 02:19:43 UTC

Long days and short days are based on perception and experience. It depends on what you've done in the 24 hours you've been given.
