so, all of that could turn out to be a positive due to that experience being turned to your advantage?
reactionary enlightenment thinker during the 19th century
died before WW2?
died in 19th century ?
let me google
born 1818 - died 1883
WW2 was what; 1923? IIRC, so it would be possible to be born in the 19th century and exist during it

i am fairly certain superherodeluxe is either trolling and trying to bait our nazis and violent types, or actually just logically lacking. and that is not an insult i just dont think he has an ability to understand opponents arguments well. or alteast cannot empathize well

nature is hierarchical, you need to be Darwinistic in your approach, equality of opportunity is a socialist idea as a stepping stone for outcome and redistribution. life is not fair, there are winners and losers. the best societies let the winners win and the losers lose and let the market and natural selection decide who is in which category.

Equality of opportunity predates marx
By a couple hundred years
Marx was a total failure and everywhere in the world his ideas have been attempted they have self destructed, the communist manifesto is nothing more than whinging drivel.
while the end of scarcity is far beyond any of our lifetimes, basically yes
or, I guess that's socialism, full scale communism or marxism doesn't even merit that caveat
Equality of opportunity is an enlightenment value and is the principle that no one should be unjustly descriminated against or precluded from opportunity
Marx posited people could not be equal while individuals owned private property and private means of production. Blatantly false
the margin of people genuinely disenfranchised from opportunity is a fair sight overadvertised, granted
Socialism, state ownership of resources and means of production is the antithesis to equality of opportunity because opportunity is removed from the equation, instead of a meritocracy where the best and brightest excel the most the state determines how successful you can be
though even accounting for the genuinely disenfranchised, its rarely clear who has taken it from them or who should intervene
Communism is impossible due to the fact that it requires the removal of basic human nature
Perfect people do not exist and the average worker is out for himself and his "tribe"
Allowing mob ownership of resources and the means of production outside of a municipal level is economic suicide
Socialism is so far both unviable and unnattractive. the day scarcity of resources is solved, if ever, certainly not in any generation too soon after ours, it'll only be unnattractive
Socialism will never be viable as it still operates on the principles of scarcity, implying that there are only so many resources available and its immoral to allow any one person to own "too much"
my point being it could work in a completely different world
