rights are a thing humans invented to be able to live in a society

the only way they are "natural" is that we made them up, but we are part of nature, ergo natural

i would certainly say private property did not really exist in hunter-gatherer societies

without rulers you only have property insofar as you are able to defend it yourself

or if you manage to group together or employ someone to defend it, but that's how you get a state

Just because something is natural doesn’t mean it’s good or bad. What it means is that there is going to be a tendency to go in that direction. And like gravity, if you don’t have something in place to prevent it it will reset back to that.
