Mm, both Banjo-Kazooie & Ocarina of Time had some very great elements - the latter, however, is also part of a long running series with well established characters.

I played the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time and it was miserable

Feels like the worst part of the Zelda games created afterwards were ripped straight from Ocarina of Time

I do not know about the 3DS version.. but the game wasn't designed with that interface in mind.
