2020-02-29 18:09:19 UTC

I made a stupid joke don't mind me

2020-02-29 18:09:41 UTC

Ahh okay, thought you were arguing a point

2020-02-29 18:09:57 UTC

with half a pint in ya

2020-02-29 18:10:19 UTC

A pint for a point

Also historical records show many slaves were treated horrifically. Other than seeing them as subhuman and treating them as such to reinforce their own ideology, slaves could be killed to set an example for other slaves (or tortured), such as if they escaped, refused orders or something like that. The reason wasn't to get more work out of that particular individual slave, but out of all slaves, be it in society (such as if they tried to escape), or if there were in a big group. And yes slavery inherently produces less value than wage-work, by a pretty wide margin, so by it's very nature it produces less. To argue that, they wouldn't do something that would result in less production of goods is frankly, pretty silly, since slavery itself does this. On top of this, they deliberately would shackle them, prevent them from learning how to read or generally be educated, and whip them which lead to infections and blood loss, just as a matter of course, which in no way long term is a good thing. There is such a thing as just being stupid and inefficient, and the nature of slavery leads to less productive labor in the first place, hence why they continued the practices.

@snake There were a couple different mindsets. One was to not kill or mame the slaves due to them being valuable. The other was to make sure they stayed subdued at all costs to prevent any thoughts of an uprising. Which was more common.

However, both mindsets are treating people like chattle to be bought, sold, dehumanized, and thrown away. Why are you defending that position at all, even indirectly. I'm confused.

2020-02-29 18:15:15 UTC

Cause snake is an edgy teen

2020-02-29 18:15:34 UTC

He hasn't grown out of it yet, give him time <:pot_of_kek:544849795433496586>

2020-02-29 18:15:55 UTC

These people believe in ethnostates, hence they try to defend any edgey contrarian racist viewpoint. For example calling apartheid in South Africa "self defense". You have to remember what these people believe and how they will rewrite history to suit their ends

2020-02-29 18:16:20 UTC

I try to stay away from generalities like "these people"

2020-02-29 18:16:36 UTC

It derails productive debate

2020-02-29 18:16:53 UTC

WEll it makes it easier than naming all of them and I think is more polite, it's not everyone in palaestra debates

2020-02-29 18:17:12 UTC

But yes, there's a lot of edgey racism here, and they've formed some kind of group lol

2020-02-29 18:17:31 UTC

Half of it is problably trolling, half of it is problably serious and it's intertwined xD

2020-02-29 18:18:17 UTC

Clearly the purpose of Athens was always to set up a hu-wite ethnostate.

2020-02-29 18:18:43 UTC

@everybodydothatdinosaur What is your view on what is currently happening in South Africa. I'm curious

2020-02-29 18:18:45 UTC

Yes of course, after all Athens was a white ethnostate made up of Greeks <:hyperthink:462282519883284480>

2020-02-29 18:20:42 UTC

What's happening in South Africa is pretty awful, and I think that racism of the past does not justify racism in the future, hence the treatment of descendants of oppressive people, or white people as a whole, not all of whom actually did anything to black people necessarily, should not be as if they were the oppressors. Furthermore stealing the land from farmers will only end in disaster, as when the new people take over and haven o idea how to farm the land, starvation will kick in. This same sort of thing has happened in Zimbabwe.

2020-02-29 18:22:08 UTC

I mean if they wish to walk into a disaster let them I do think we should save the farmers tho

2020-02-29 18:22:51 UTC

The reality is that, like with most forms of socialism, racially motivated or otherwise, seizing the means of production tends to end in disaster as there is no-one better to run the land than those who, already know how to un the land. Replacing them, be it by black people, or in the case of say Russia with random Russian serfs, results in unskilled people in the positions and that just leads to famine. Other than it being immoral to mass rob any group of innocent people like this, it also will inevitably result in famines and the likely destruction of the farm which will, be absolutely horrific.

2020-02-29 18:23:01 UTC

Thought you were going to end up defending the actions against whites in South Africa. The way you were talking came off as that kind of mentality. Glad I was wrong

2020-02-29 18:24:26 UTC

Nah, I don't think it quite reaches the level of "whyte rice genocide", but I do think it's racism, and the fact many in the west flatly deny it only because the victims are white is disgusting. Written in to the law of these countries is oppression against white people, and laws specifically discriminating against them, and many will just outright deny it, or try to justify it and so on. What's happened is awful, and it's sort of racial-socialism

2020-02-29 18:24:59 UTC

aka das naziism

2020-02-29 18:25:01 UTC

Vietnam was like this, as were the Nazis xD

2020-02-29 18:25:05 UTC

The western media isn't even reporting on it.

2020-02-29 18:25:21 UTC

It's not helpful for the anti-white narrative duh.

2020-02-29 18:25:37 UTC

Western media is unreliable in every way better to trust indie sources

2020-02-29 18:26:03 UTC

I mean even the Soviet union continued running the concentration camps of the nazis for 5 years after WWII, they hated the jews just as much and started WWII becuase of it, and antisemitism was ingrained in to karl marx's book, who saw capitalism as being an invention of the jews and the jews as one of the biggest enemies of the potential rise of socialism.

2020-02-29 18:26:44 UTC

I had a conversation with someone about South Africa, showed them the governmeant website and the PDF from it illustrating the explicit laws, and they refused to believe me. It was kind of dumbfounding, people just won't believe it in many case

2020-02-29 18:26:59 UTC

Wow, I didn't know that. That's definitely good to know

2020-02-29 18:27:29 UTC

I mean that Russia had concentration camps for Jews

2020-02-29 18:27:34 UTC

Yeah Stalin and Mao Zedongs kill count makes Hitler look like an amateur genocidal meniac

2020-02-29 18:27:52 UTC

And Hitler's kill count is only so high because he waged war.

2020-02-29 18:27:55 UTC

I know right, the Soviet union was as against jews as the nazis were and it's ingrained in to Marx's view of socialism, which is also not really talked about much. It problably directly lead to the rise of Hitler, that is marx's views, and of course the mass murders in the soviet union. They had gulags and concentration camps

2020-02-29 18:27:55 UTC

I knew they had them for dissenters

2020-02-29 18:28:17 UTC

The commies don't even require a war to kill many millions of people.

2020-02-29 18:28:18 UTC

The gulags were for anyone they didn't like, be them cossacks, jews, or whoever. You could just look at someone funny and get thrown in them
