IMO age of consent laws should stay the same but statutory rape should have a 10 year limit of whatever it is called, and the state, nor the parents should be the ones required to initiate court proceedings

I just think that if a 17 year old consents and the parents/state can prosecute even though the 17 year old was not only okay, but 10 years from now still remains okay with it, it’s kinda ridiculous
