ayy any tech savvy person know what phone is best to buy?

2018-08-17 18:21:17 UTC

should pick based on which features are the most important for your use-case

2018-08-17 18:25:44 UTC

my Samsing Galaxy S-whateveryeariboughtit has a decent camera, but muddy video, terrible sound quality(both recording and playback) volume level nags, and Samsung bloatware. It's the first "nice" phone ive ever bought, so I was pretty disappointed. I'd try to save a bit instead, but if you need every possible feature to be actually good, you might be stuck with a flagship. If you rarely use your camera, or never listen to mp3s, you might save money

anything $150 and under will probly just stop working randomly at some point, and ive gone through a lot of those

2018-08-21 11:34:01 UTC

Hi guys I am a complete noob when it comes to I.T and computer science, but I am interested in learning more about it. Can anyone suggest any good tutorials to watch?

2018-08-21 12:12:44 UTC

what is your age range?

2018-08-21 12:14:21 UTC

Age range? I am 24 if that's what you're asking.

2018-08-21 12:14:38 UTC

alright

2018-08-21 12:14:58 UTC

like if you were still in high school, idk

2018-08-21 12:15:04 UTC

And thank you for the link 😃

2018-08-21 12:15:09 UTC

Nope

2018-08-21 12:15:14 UTC

😛

2018-08-21 12:15:57 UTC

i suppose that would be a more formal approach to computer science and programming. alternatively, you could just jump into some coding tutorials

2018-08-21 12:16:34 UTC

but i think its helpful to have a bit of conceptual background and understand what computational thinking is

2018-08-21 12:16:40 UTC

I have been suggested to start with SQL (I think its called that)

2018-08-21 12:16:50 UTC

how to approach solving problems from the perspective of a computer or algorithm

2018-08-21 12:17:11 UTC

SQL is a very specific language

2018-08-21 12:17:33 UTC

I have a lot of experience in learning second languages would that kind of thinking benefit me in this field?

2018-08-21 12:17:38 UTC

personally i would probably suggest Python

2018-08-21 12:18:22 UTC

Okay

2018-08-21 12:19:15 UTC

there are many resources, tutorials and courses online, but the most important thing is to just keep coding, studying and practicing

2018-08-21 12:19:40 UTC

programming can very much be seen as an art, you won't git gud unless you practice

2018-08-21 12:19:42 UTC

Standard advice then "You get out what you put in" 😛

2018-08-21 12:20:22 UTC

Thank you for all the advice Picnic 😃

2018-08-21 12:22:43 UTC

also install a linux VM and get familiar with the terminal

2018-08-21 12:22:58 UTC

haha

2018-08-21 12:23:02 UTC

you won't "git" gud

2018-08-21 12:23:15 UTC

haha

2018-08-21 12:23:19 UTC

unintentional 😛

2018-08-21 12:23:35 UTC

dis gitta be eating baked commits
