Did all the research
Couldn't find one in the country, and Australia wanted to tax me something like 30%+ to bring one here
Gotta protect our local car industry for those big scary 30-year-old cars <:thronk:441701565607444482>
Quite liked the 80s Chevy Monte Carlos, too, but prices for them were ridiculous thanks to it being a popular car with the silly-suspension crowd
You like some weird American cars...
I'm surprised he didn't mention the last V8 sedans in the police force, the Dodge Chargers.
Gotta love that the first interceptors were flatheads though.
"silly-suspension crowd" :LUL:
I think hydraulics are cool and I'd love a car with a good hydraulic setup
:(
Suspension is for going fast. It's not for bouncing around like you are Dr. DRE and Snoop Dogg
again it comes back to my view of cars being fun, speed isn't the only way of making a car an object of fun
big sound systems, dumb exhausts, lighting that makes gaming pcs blush, stupid suspensions, it's all entertainment
I'm more of a Add Lightness kinda guy.
that's fine for speed but it usually means sacrificing comfort
the vast majority of vehicles on the road see more miles when comfort is important than where speed is
nope outright pace over all
all show and no go is disgusting ;D
look at the gt86
it's slower than a lot of hatchbacks, that doesn't mean it's worse than them though
same with the mx5
they're great cars, but there are much faster and imo less desirable alternatives
Refutes Add Lightness
Cites gt86 and Mx5
WELL WELL WELL
WELL WELL
is the 370z a bad car then?
the GT86 is categorically worse than my $5k cheaper Focus ST
I would rather have the GT86
yeah but some of us have more sense than money
250hp/275tq, turbo, 4 doors, same weight, and $5k cheaper
the difference between me and you is that I actually cross-shopped them
i'm not just saying this as an armchair argument
ah and the transmission is way better too
I will admit I haven't driven the current ST, but I have driven the RS
my preference for the GT86 comes down to road feel though, and my own personal affection for rwd
I have a lot of complaints with the gt86, mainly the lack of a factory turbo option and that toyota didn't really have much to do with it despite it wearing a toyota badge and looking imo better than the brz
though that is aesthetic
