There are issues with caseless

2018-07-07 11:24:46 UTC

Like how do you clear a malfunctioning round?

2018-07-07 11:26:52 UTC

@AiarUther
It's being used in some new cannons i guess

2018-07-07 11:27:23 UTC

Well a lot of older guns were bag guns

2018-07-07 11:27:36 UTC

With a separate powder charge

Gun rights is Left wing ?

2018-07-07 11:28:29 UTC

Lol, since when?

2018-07-07 11:28:49 UTC

Usually only nutter ancoms support gun rights

2018-07-07 11:30:28 UTC

@Broo TulsiGang 2024 πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ but that's usually to support their violent revolutionaries

2018-07-07 11:30:45 UTC

It's a tactic, not a principal

Think about it

2018-07-07 11:33:26 UTC

@AiarUther All the issues with caseless ammo can be resolved with better technology. Caseless has an obvious advantage over standard ammo (being smaller and lighter). So it will eventually replace it

2018-07-07 11:34:08 UTC

@Baraban but you have to be practical

2018-07-07 11:34:34 UTC

You need weapons to he soldier proof

2018-07-07 11:34:47 UTC

Be*

2018-07-07 11:34:48 UTC

This is why it has to be better

2018-07-07 11:34:59 UTC

It's just a matter of making it better

2018-07-07 11:35:28 UTC

But I don't think you can ever solve the issue of ammo failing

2018-07-07 11:35:50 UTC

And if normal ammo fails, you just cycle the weapon

2018-07-07 11:37:04 UTC

Maybe it's because I'm much of an expert of how caseless work, but I don't see why they can't do it with caseless. I assume they have a way to get ammo out of the chamber (other than firing the round)

2018-07-07 11:37:37 UTC

Might as well stick with telescopic ammo then.

2018-07-07 11:38:18 UTC

Telescopic is the same thing though, except it has a case

2018-07-07 11:38:48 UTC

Pretty sure they can cycle out caseless

2018-07-07 11:38:50 UTC

But you can clear a telescopic gun

2018-07-07 11:39:17 UTC

How do you get the round out of a caseless gun?

2018-07-07 11:40:23 UTC

Well if you allow a case less gun to have an ejection port, why have a case less gun at all?

2018-07-07 11:40:43 UTC

Cause the ammo is smaller

2018-07-07 11:40:51 UTC

Might as well go for telescopic ammo which has the same advantage

2018-07-07 11:42:34 UTC

If you can't get the round out then honestly jamming is the least of you're problems πŸ€”
Pretty sure you should still have a way to get the round out in a caseless gun

2018-07-07 11:43:23 UTC

A gun can miss fire for other reasons

2018-07-07 11:43:43 UTC

A bullet doesn't have to jam to stop a gun from functioning

2018-07-07 11:44:04 UTC

Light primer strike, bad propellant, bad primer

2018-07-07 11:47:55 UTC

@Baraban but again, if you're a soldier on the field, you want to be able to clear misfires in a jiffy.

2018-07-07 11:48:27 UTC

Still seems like that kind of stuff can be solved

2018-07-07 11:49:16 UTC

Not sure though. Maybe I'm just not knowledgeable enough regarding how this works

2018-07-07 12:25:30 UTC

Swords are more reliable than the firearm. Take it from Caesar's legion

2018-07-07 12:25:39 UTC

XD

2018-07-07 12:31:12 UTC

Ask the samurai on the other end of this gun.

2018-07-07 12:41:55 UTC

damn, still can't post pictures
