oops!
is my face red
thats a bad site
So I'm still on my first campaign of Stellaris... is it just me, or the computer can accumulate an ungodly amount of minerals and burst produce it all in one go when attacked?
Playing on normal.
And what's really annoying, chasing down an enemy fleet that's running away from me.
@DanielKO yeah, that's expected
That's the first empire that I'm trying to steamroll... it's so frustrating.
Really don't feel like trying to conquer the other ones, if it's going to be this boring.
Can I just blow up their planets?
@DanielKO you can wait until the next dlc or get this mod: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=720237457
Gonna try to do it without mods on my first playthrough.
This is fucking retarded, the enemy keeps jumping back and forth between two systems, before I can fly close and shoot them down.
@DanielKO you have to play the siege game
I think you can also make a tiny fleet to lure them near.
can also be used to kite bigger fleets around, unless they've changed stuff since last I played
Reminds me of a similar strategy in EU4, having a low strength regiment running around will instantly make all the AI troops salivate in a blood frenzy, and charge at your weak regiment with no regard for their own safety or health.
Capturing planets is annoying.
I wish I could just build a defense station there.
yeah, it's kind of boring, and trivial at later stages. Just feels like a grind
the claim system and system conquest stuff looks promising at least
and the ability to build a defense system that isn't obsolete almost before it's built
Yeah defense platforms suck
totally. I've only ever really used them really early on
build one, declare wars on neighbors as soon as you discover them
they'll send their ships over and suicide against your starbase, because the defense platform interdicts them, and pulls them out right next to it
then you harvest warscore until they surrender, and claim a few planets early
haven't tried it more than once, in the latest patch though, so I don't know if it works anymore
AI seems a bit more reluctant to attack your starbase at the beginning when they can't muster the fleet strength to take it out
@Mal favorite ftl?
hyperlanes
so I don't mind the changes coming
almost always played on that setting
yeah
reminds of of older 4x games
I always found warp and wormholes to be annoying
same
wormholes was just another layer of micromanagement
but the yump drives were the shit
yeah I enjoy getting those, because they were locked behind tech
