Now I just have to pickup the Marathon trilogy again

2018-03-28 15:51:49 UTC

I guess i will get this brutal doom

We should stream me playing Brutal DooM

do any of remember Duke Nukem 3d?

the hardest mode

had enemies that respawned forever

it's not just that the room is full of enemies, all of them come back

2018-03-28 17:13:55 UTC

Didn't nightmare have respawning enemies as well in doom?

2018-03-28 17:14:25 UTC

Duke 3d was awesome, though

2018-03-28 23:43:49 UTC

They both did

2018-03-28 23:58:48 UTC

@Reaps what's the point in ever using HE shells?

2018-03-29 00:02:12 UTC

innnnnnn

2018-03-29 00:02:15 UTC

aircraft?

2018-03-29 00:02:17 UTC

tanks?

2018-03-29 00:02:19 UTC

SPAAGs?

2018-03-29 00:03:26 UTC

Tanks

2018-03-29 00:04:04 UTC

Depends what you're shooting at

2018-03-29 00:04:14 UTC

They generally do more damage than APHE, and way more damage that AP

2018-03-29 00:04:33 UTC

So if the 'pen value' is higher than the target you're aiming at..

2018-03-29 00:04:48 UTC

use it on lightly armored?

2018-03-29 00:04:53 UTC

Also, large-bore guns like the SU-152 can usually nuke many targets with the HE shell

2018-03-29 00:05:00 UTC

And because most HE doesn't have a tracer

2018-03-29 00:05:10 UTC

It becomes harder for others to figure out where the shot came from

2018-03-29 00:05:23 UTC

Also HE generally has the same pen value at all distances and angles

2018-03-29 00:05:38 UTC

Look at the Brummbar for instance

2018-03-29 00:05:59 UTC

Downside for the large HE guns is the terrible reload

2018-03-29 00:06:32 UTC

isn't that the downside for large guns in general?

2018-03-29 00:07:46 UTC

yup.

2018-03-29 00:08:02 UTC

when WT came out though, most large guns were firing HE only

2018-03-29 00:08:05 UTC

So I'm still in that mindset

2018-03-29 00:08:19 UTC

SU-152 murdered everything back then

2018-03-29 00:09:22 UTC

you only play RB and sim?

2018-03-29 00:10:56 UTC

SB

2018-03-29 00:11:49 UTC

2real4me

2018-03-29 00:14:24 UTC

AP or APC ?0

2018-03-29 00:15:33 UTC

On what?

2018-03-29 00:15:50 UTC

APC in general, because the C stands for 'capped' which means it has less chance of bouncing on angles

2018-03-29 00:15:57 UTC

The AP probably has more pen value
