I'm too young to have played the old fallout games. Are they worth it?
they're really different to modern games

turn based, very roguelike
if you're not into the isometric turn-base, it might suit you well

I'd go with Fallout 2 since there's way more options in that one and you're not put on a BS time limit like in fallout 1

Definitely worth playing; also worth (esp for Fallout 2) chasing up a few patches that don't actually 'add' anything into the game inasmuch as they activate otherwise-dormant assets in the game
