IGN had a reviewer that never played DQ before and he marked off 1 point out of 10 because of the Puff Puff joke and "skimpy" clothes (DQ8 was way worse). He literally said he didn't read the dialogue as he played through. so yeah it's a joke and the down votes reflect it.
lolwhat
"this isn't the type of game I enjoy 3/10"
What is even more funny is Kotatku praised the crap out of it.
from what I've seen it looks incredible
and I'm a DQ noob
somehow in my 30 years of life, i have managed to never play a dragon quest game before last year
in some twisted form of ridiculous irony tho
got this game years ago and never got round to playing it, smashed it a couple of months ago
its basically a dragon quest game in everything but the title lolo
same devs, artist, music, etc
and I didn't even realise it was so closely related to dragon quest
been trying to find time to play the 3DS one, DQVII I think? but by the time I get chance to play in bed I'm 2tired rip
just watched the review, it's kind of lacking in actual substance
I would already have it if monster hunter wasn't eating my life
monster hunter doesn't agree with me
I just couldn't get into the one I played
fetch quest the game, also u gotta grind like fuck: have fun
The grinding in Monster Hunter is nothing compared to some of the stuff you had to go through in older mmo's, so I guess I've been immunized. Played the newest Monster Hunter with friends, on PC, and it's not felt like much of a grind at all, getting what is currently the best stuff.
I've never really played MMOs
I played the 3ds monster hunter
grind is gay
Guild wars 2 eliminates the grind problems entirely so I love it
MHW is one of those games where the grind is medium bad (not up there with MMOs) and the combat is skill based and awesome.
It has the time sink without feeling like a slog
maybe I didn't give it enough of a chance
it def felt like a slog
so after you complete side quests or research a monster you can unlock investigations and it's basically hunt or trap X monster and on completion you get significantly higher chances of getting rare loot. so if your look some Master Skull to make a hat out of it's not difficult to ge tthe quests you need to farm it
if i sat down to farm out one armor to beta and alpha it would take like 2 hours at most if i have the investigations for it
MHW is too expensive last time I looked... Probably don't have the time for the game though if it requires grinding.
morrowind
Yea they still want full price for it and to much a time sink atm
No grind in guild wars 2? We must have played the game in opposite dimensions, lul
@BlahBlason I just started playing Planetside 2 if you're still looking for others.
Guild wars is grind. But fun none the less one of my top mmorpgs
