The argument for a 'private company' is not as strong as you'd think.

lol I was surprised to learn in my economics class how inefficient monopolies really are.

It's like a feedback loop of trying to balance lowering your overhead and lowering your supply/demand curve to match that overhead cost, leading to a higher price, eventually putting you under because no one wants your product anymore
