I've got this conspiracy theory that the KFC shortage thing was a social experiment to see who wanted fried chicken so much they would learn to cook it themselves. Instead people called the police.
Can you even imagine the money wasted? Because all the chicken that was supposed to be served for a week, just spoiled away. So it wasn't that they just didn't make money and had to pay everyone's salary anyway. They lost quite a bit of money. Has the CEO, or any top executive been fired yet?
