so yes, there are muslim progressives, i love the 2010s
this has been the best decade
you want your socialist professor, you got your socialist professor!
Crazy waters, everyone
ammo
They politicised a funeral for their own selfish causes...
people politicise that shit all the time tbh
look at that girl who got killed by an illegal. or every shooting in the US.
so I aint surprised
She made controversial choices and statements.
Why are they running the funeral of that singer as a racial tragedy, and use it to attack Trump; when he had nothing to do with the funeral in ANY respect.
Context of both matters m8
Ironically the MSM (Except Fox) was saying that you COULDN'T politicize the illigal alien shooting
And then turned and politicized others
There was context for the murder to attack the Democrat policies that caused her death.
There was no justifying context to attack Trump and promote Democrats at a funeral
@DanConway I wish it were time... <:pepe_why:378719408367075333>
soon...
Germany seem to be having similar opinions in a certain city...
I have heard that sentiment is common in that area
a lot of disgruntled people who lived under the USSR
East Germany and Poland suffered
And Czech, Romania
And Ukraine... We get it, I was meaning under the context of the current German protests
Anyone know any books that lay out Progressive philosophy regarding government? I have a friend trying to get read up on political theory and I suggested Locke and the Federalist Papers to start but I can't think of a single book he could read that would give a good basis for American Progressivism.
"progressive" is entirely subjective.
They label the murder of unborn babies and the mutilation of their living body by clamp a "Progressive choice".
Looking for the stuff from late 1800s to 1930s or so
"Progressivism" is not a philosophy or political field. Postmodernism is.
Self defined "progressives" are postmodernists
That would be after the timeframe in question. American Progressives were a somewhat defined thing, though not nearly as well defined as Classical Liberals or Marxists. I can pull half a dozen books that add up to the whole, but I can't think of one that lays it out singularly.
Liberal Modernism is a precursor
Perhaps
Look into andrew jackson, lbj, fdr
@Almagafor For the late 1800's to early 1900s, consider looking into Theodore Roosevelt's political theories
Teddy was my first thought, I’ll see if I can find a biography that gets heavily into his theory.
FDR is another good basis for american liberal. He layed a lot of groundwork for the modern liberal stances. Like welfare and so on.
