me killing a child i have never met or know the parents even within my own species is not evil, it's just objectional to the rest of the species

2018-11-01 03:20:15 UTC

they do

2018-11-01 03:20:25 UTC

Actually i would argue much of what drives humans even to this day is the base instinct and law of nature

2018-11-01 03:20:26 UTC

To say we don't live by rules of nature is very low IQ

2018-11-01 03:20:37 UTC

because they do not have the higher thinking to think about thinking

2018-11-01 03:21:10 UTC

@flyingfoxel - How do you define "evil" in general?

2018-11-01 03:21:15 UTC

we do not charge a mentally impaired person with murder if he does not understand right and wrong

2018-11-01 03:21:32 UTC

i don't it doesn't exist.

2018-11-01 03:21:32 UTC

Evil and good are subjective at their core

2018-11-01 03:21:37 UTC

@Goblin_Slayer_Floki it is yes, and is inescapable in totality. But we do not live as meerkats do, for example. We have a hell of a lot of depth to us and our societies. All of that depth is constructed by people.

2018-11-01 03:22:00 UTC

@flyingfoxel - Yet those words exist and things do fit within the framework of the traits defined by the concept of evil.

2018-11-01 03:22:26 UTC

yeah humans play make believe all the damn time imagine that

2018-11-01 03:22:31 UTC

And people are rather animalistic. The individuals survival, procreation, and prosperation is above the whole.

2018-11-01 03:22:54 UTC

Its just the ways to get that have changed

2018-11-01 03:23:14 UTC

@flyingfoxel - Removing words from what you want to pay attention to does nothing but make you ignore those concepts. They still exist.

2018-11-01 03:23:16 UTC

To assume we are "above" our animality, is dishonest at best

2018-11-01 03:23:24 UTC

@Fitzydog I should have put "JUST by those", but I didn't account for the sentence being read by someone determined to take it out of context and ignore everything else.

2018-11-01 03:23:37 UTC

Even society and human morality are based on those 3 major concepts

2018-11-01 03:23:50 UTC

@flyingfoxel - For instance would it just be bad or would it be nothing at all if I lit you on fire because I like the smell of burning flesh and you are an easy source? Most people use the word evil as a super bad category of bad.

2018-11-01 03:24:18 UTC

human have meta consciousness. something that animals can only show rudimentary thinking at best

2018-11-01 03:24:40 UTC

the understanding that someone can know something that you do not

2018-11-01 03:24:48 UTC

Like I said, we can't escape our basic nature, but we don't just live by our basic nature do we or there'd be no difference between us now and people in the fucking stone age would there

2018-11-01 03:24:53 UTC

or the ability to think about thinking

2018-11-01 03:25:05 UTC

thats the thing they dont reality does not care if somthing "evil" is happening, there is no karma and evil does not have a weight or measure. if i subjectivily think your act is evil that does nothing has no weight and will not save me from the fire, the concept is mute.

2018-11-01 03:25:15 UTC

@Roarey There isn't really, is there though?

2018-11-01 03:25:21 UTC

@Roarey - Might as well get rid of that pesky free will concept and tell the courts it wasn't your fault you played GTA in the streets.

2018-11-01 03:25:32 UTC

Our societies are just like the stone age? really?

2018-11-01 03:25:43 UTC

What's changed inside us humans?

2018-11-01 03:25:44 UTC

@DanConway thats one helva claim not backed in anything,

2018-11-01 03:26:02 UTC

I never made the claim anything has changed INSIDE people

2018-11-01 03:26:13 UTC

Gorillas that can use sign language

2018-11-01 03:26:19 UTC

dolphins possibly have a lexicon larger then most 3rd world country's

2018-11-01 03:26:21 UTC

Morality isn't just what human nature is, is it

2018-11-01 03:26:24 UTC

they cannot ask meta questions

2018-11-01 03:26:28 UTC

@flyingfoxel I'm still waiting for that objective morality claim

2018-11-01 03:26:36 UTC

@DanConway - What's a meta question?

2018-11-01 03:26:56 UTC

@Deleted User why mention me i dont think morals exsist let alone are objective

2018-11-01 03:26:57 UTC

@Roarey I am saying that objective morality is something inside of us

2018-11-01 03:27:11 UTC

That isn't morality, it is nature.

2018-11-01 03:27:18 UTC

@flyingfoxel I'm talking about dan still hasn't proven shit

2018-11-01 03:27:33 UTC

Morality is what we build around natural impulses and imperatives
