Don't wanna continue the cycle ya feel
If you've just got the sniffles, that isn't an excuse.
Understandable
@Deleted User that's how the demons get you
@Wrath Father Ripperger is an Exorcist and he has videos on YT
@Helter Seltzer ☧ correct
Need to check my understanding here. Is a good tl;dr of sede logic, since John XXIII was a heretic, every pope/bishop/etc since he came into power invalid?
Stop worrying so much about whether or not whatever pope is considered a heretic for whatever. Heretics are people like Arius, or Luther, etc. Pope have been wrong and corrected all the time since Peter
Alexander VI
@Karu Vatican II is heresy and until it is revoked all Popes are complicit in heresy and therefore invalid.
Popes are not invalid because they defend something that is wrong
I don't agree with sedes
But that is what he wanted to know
Ah, I see, that was the sede logic
Yes
Me right now: <:wojakbrainlet1:510858664534474752>
Sedes are dumb too dw
You're still autism supreme in my eyes <3
They are just tired
>I don’t agree with sedes
>presents sedes argument
I was asking whether that was an accurate summation of their position, not whether sedeism is legit or not
She was precisely mentioning what were the sde arguments
Oh ok
Dumb dumb
There was this sede who lasted here like some hours who, when pressed, said that Paul was whatever because he contradicted Peter, and nobody can contradict the Pope because of course the Pope is always right
So he had no idea how papal infallibility works basically
Sedes are dumb lmao
but yeah, if that's what it boils down to, it involves a bunch of canon law stuff I don't have the standing to begin understanding
also, it would mean the church has fallen, so idk christ is a liar ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Begome Ordodogs xDDD
Papal infallibility only applies when the Pope speaks Ex Cathedra, which is enforcing his authority as Vicar of Christ, often these results in Papal Bulls
right, which hasn't been done since 1950something
also:
>begome member of religion with zero unity and confusion everywhere
pls
Unsure, the last Bull that comes to mind is Ambulate in Dilectione
IT'S A MYSTERY
sounds like everything north of the priesthood has been mired in intrigue for decades and it's not worth the average catholic sparing a thought for
In my opinion, people have obsessed too much about all these legalistic things. Overall, I mostly guide myself by the councils that are declared ecumenical by the Pope
mm. And canon law as I understand it is not infalliable, divine, etc, it is mostly a guidebook on how the affairs of the church are organized
it interprets doctrine, it isn't doctrine itself
still - i'd be lying if I said nearly 70 years of garbage popes didn't give me some heartburn
