i'm just starting to cut again this week too, i've been trying to run and lift again since last june. A few things that I have found helps me is intermittent fasting (I havent done it too much because I am still growing).. just dont eat any meals after 5 pm and try to wait in the morning to eat depending on what time you work out at

the slower you cut the more muscle you will retain but you will obviously lose strength when you get leaner, unless you're super chubby like me lol

Burning fat takes a long time, but if you keep at it people who you see regularly will begin to notice a difference and everything. if you want to lose weight you can just change your lifestyle/go on a diet, but if you want to be healthier you gotta work out whether that be running, lifting or both
