oh

2019-07-15 05:49:38 UTC

I don’t think you need the bible for that, just come to think, only God may grant life and take it, if you decide to take your life, you’re indeed attempting to feel like God

2019-07-15 05:50:19 UTC

Plus rejecting God’s greatest gift..

Matthew 27:1-10

**Matthew 27:1-10 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition (DRA)**

```Dust
<1> And when morning was come, all the chief priests and ancients of the people took counsel against Jesus, that they might put him to death. <2> And they brought him bound, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor. <3> Then Judas, who betrayed him, seeing that he was condemned, repenting himself, brought back the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and ancients, <4> Saying: I have sinned in betraying innocent blood. But they said: What is that to us? look thou to it. <5> And casting down the pieces of silver in the temple, he departed: and went and hanged himself with an halter. <6> But the chief priests having taken the pieces of silver, said: It is not lawful to put them into the corbona, because it is the price of blood. <7> And after they had consulted together, they bought with them the potter's field, to be a burying place for strangers. <8> For this cause the field was called Haceldama, that is, The field of blood, even to this day. <9> Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremias the prophet, saying: And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was prized, whom they prized of the children of Israel. <10> And they gave them unto the potter's field, as the Lord appointed to me. ```
Darn, was it really needed to quote the entire thing?
I'm trying to find something and I can't
But it's an extension of your body belonging to God
Don't harm it, it's not yours
Don't know if what I am saying is heretic or not but how I am supposed to feel about some dubious things in the old testament, like Lot being intoxicated by his daughters?
2019-07-17 07:10:04 UTC
is it just (((long nose))) tribe fuckery or should I take the old testament as it is given
2019-07-17 08:30:24 UTC
the OT doesn't tell you that the events described in it are all an example of good behaviour lmao
2019-07-17 08:30:31 UTC
You have to understand, the bulk of the Old Testament is meant to be taken as a warning. Lots of stuff sounds bad as a sound byte, but taken in context it's always making an important statement recounting the degeneracy
2019-07-17 08:31:06 UTC
It is made very clear that Israel had a hard heart, but God makes it clear what is the final commandment: love God above all things, and your neighbor as yourself
2019-07-17 08:31:25 UTC
That is what Christ then repeats, but it is in the OT, when the mosaic law is given
2019-07-17 08:32:18 UTC
"And Israel did not do what was right in the eyes of the Lord" **punishment happens** is basically the cycle you'll notice surrounding that stuff
2019-07-17 08:36:36 UTC
Pretty much. And even the leaders indulge in non-charitable behaviour, but they are never described as perfect people, which is why the attempt to imply that endless prophecies that clearly refer to the messiah and his glory ackshually refer to them is nonsensical
2019-07-17 08:46:38 UTC
Not only that, even when God comands anathema and complete destruction of cities, mercy is given to those who ask, like that one nation when the nations of the promise land where being conquered
2019-07-17 09:08:33 UTC
If David, the man after God's own heart didn't make the cut, how could the prophecies refer to literally anyone else but Christ lmao
2019-07-18 06:36:57 UTC
Thanks a lot guys
