not trying to be a jerk, but this is just really spiritually dangerous. It'll lead you down bad paths, potentially open you up to demonic influences, and get you thinking about things *other* than what we KNOW is the path to salvation. There's no need to be an explorer trying to figure out a new way to find salvation through occult symbols and techniques. Stick to what works. Everything else, this esoteric knowledge and use of occult methods, that was not necessary for the Saints, and it will never be needed or recommended. Come to Christ through humility, obedience, and sanctity, and you will be fine.

These days we have such easy access to what we need, and we don't appreciate it, which is why stuff outside the gospel can seem to have value, esp. when nobody talks about them, and when you come across them they're presented as interesting and hidden knowledge. The scriptures and writings of the saints have *everything* you could possibly need. Knowledge from outside of tradition is just completely unnecessary, and as I've stressed, if it seems like it could be a little dangerous, then you should not hesitate to run from it.

And eventually you realize that everything is just phrasing the same message in different ways over and over and over. The Christian life begins when you begin living it.

My buddy has been studying gnosticism as a roman catholic and he just tells me how retarded it is based off their apocryphal texts
