2019-08-19 22:26:05 UTC

2019-08-19 22:37:46 UTC

2019-08-19 22:38:31 UTC

Always wanted to play a wind instrument, but way too spastic, can never get the breathing right...

2019-08-19 22:40:00 UTC

I'm probably taking ||saxophone|| courses this autumn.

2019-08-19 22:53:05 UTC

knights used to have required humanities as part of their education

2019-08-19 22:53:16 UTC

including dance and art and poetry or whatever

2019-08-19 22:53:58 UTC

artistic expression is in general a human trait

2019-08-19 22:54:06 UTC

no one starts drawing

2019-08-19 22:54:12 UTC

they stop as they grow up

2019-08-19 22:54:16 UTC

except in trad societies

2019-08-19 22:54:34 UTC

where people retain creative outlets and make their place worth living in

2019-08-19 22:54:43 UTC

gtfo with your puritan nonsense

2019-08-19 22:55:04 UTC

Im still searching for a way to express creativity that isnt drawing or painting. its what i used to do but it no longer brings me any kind of joy

2019-08-19 22:55:29 UTC

maybe sculpting or woodworking is where its at

2019-08-19 22:56:23 UTC

Woodworking is really comfy.

2019-08-20 00:50:51 UTC

Woodworking is peak man expression. Making things out of wood is useful even if you don't make useful things, because if you work with wood you have the ability to.

2019-08-20 00:54:19 UTC

Writing isn't bad because writing well is of extreme use, but painting is woman tier unless you're good, dance is fag tier unless you're single and wooing women with it, and performing arts are always and will always be the biggest gay.

2019-08-20 00:56:34 UTC

my grandfather was a crazy carpenter

2019-08-20 00:56:49 UTC

this nigga built a 1700s wagon from hand

2019-08-20 00:58:37 UTC

I have automatic respect for anyone who can work with their hands and make something nice. Any luck I'm going to try to learn myself soon tbh

2019-08-20 01:00:40 UTC

I can't make shit, I'm very lacking in common skills

2019-08-20 01:21:09 UTC

my dad made furniture, in fact alot of the stuff i use he made

2019-08-20 01:21:11 UTC

pretty epic

2019-08-20 01:24:00 UTC

what if i use woodworking to carve flowers and cute figurines

2019-08-20 01:24:06 UTC

is it still manly

2019-08-20 01:26:06 UTC

hmmm

2019-08-20 01:26:12 UTC

i would say yes

2019-08-20 03:04:03 UTC

For sure, because it's a manly skill, ans delicate work is a mark of high proficiency. Flowers aren't just for women, men just need wear them more sparingly. Growing flowers is in itself a useful skill, specialized agriculture if you're talking technical skills

2019-08-20 03:36:03 UTC

fixing up stuff is always a plus. plumbing, automotives, wiring, etc

2019-08-20 03:59:54 UTC

what would i need to make for you to not consider it manly

2019-08-20 04:00:07 UTC

because i'd say woodworking is for both sexes

2019-08-20 04:23:20 UTC

Yeah

2019-08-20 04:23:27 UTC

Woodworking as a trade is manly

2019-08-20 04:23:54 UTC

Woodworking small figurines is still a bit manly, but I wouldn't object to women doing it
