Cars though

2019-08-19 18:36:06 UTC

All those coal rollers

2019-08-19 18:36:27 UTC

Turbos and gas guzzlers

2019-08-19 18:36:34 UTC

Yeah, but cutting down CO² output from other power sources gives us more time to make cars cleaner (Hydrogen Powered/ electric)

2019-08-19 18:39:17 UTC

I want to see hydrogen combustion. I've worked out solving most of the issues with hydrogen burn and I'm sure others can finish the rest. Such as hydrogen easily sparking ignition from lower temps. So A cylinder hot spot could set it off out of timing.

I wonder why this technology isn't taken more of a look at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fuel_cell

2019-08-19 18:41:32 UTC

Problem with feeding fuel is the injection. Will have to go back to using throttle body injection.

2019-08-19 18:41:41 UTC

Efficient, cheap to refuel and the only thing coming out of the tail pipe is water

2019-08-19 18:43:06 UTC

Those fuel cells were studied and prototypes made but they lack power and to make up for it, you have to increase weight beyond a gas engine. Nah direct hydrogen combustion it has to be for now.

2019-08-19 18:44:19 UTC

You can always run it fuel rich, to limit dangers of accidental ignition

2019-08-19 18:44:46 UTC

I don't really know much about engines tho, that might be very stupid lol

2019-08-19 18:44:48 UTC

True but then gasoline becomes cheaper

2019-08-19 18:46:12 UTC

And added fuel storage weight to get them equal milage

2019-08-19 18:46:12 UTC

GG @THWARTED, you just advanced to level 3!

2019-08-19 18:46:21 UTC

Which burns more

2019-08-19 18:46:29 UTC

Really? We're talking about a small difference in mixture, right?

2019-08-19 18:46:33 UTC

Cost ++++

2019-08-19 18:47:00 UTC

Fuel cells are eneficient

2019-08-19 18:47:08 UTC

Way too

2019-08-19 18:48:09 UTC

You can get the same performance and mileage and a lot more on hydrogen on a throttle body injection

2019-08-19 18:48:26 UTC

I really like HHO fuel

2019-08-19 18:48:27 UTC

As you would on gasoline

2019-08-19 18:50:00 UTC

Yeah HHO is great for rockets, but a bit to unstable for everyday uses isn't it?

2019-08-19 18:50:05 UTC

No

2019-08-19 18:50:26 UTC

It can be electrolyzed on site and stored as a reversible metal hydride

2019-08-19 18:50:37 UTC

Fuel cells died out because they can't be used fast cars or big trucks. Only in those itty bitty smart car things that you could bench press

2019-08-19 18:50:41 UTC

Tin and palladium being great examples

2019-08-19 18:50:53 UTC

Of reversible metal hydrides

2019-08-19 18:51:02 UTC

Although solar based ones are indeed nicer

2019-08-19 19:09:58 UTC

Or Lithium Hydride.. or even better Lithium deuteride

2019-08-19 19:10:03 UTC

hmm

2019-08-19 19:12:33 UTC

Good afternoon everyone 👋👋👋

2019-08-19 19:17:57 UTC

Whaddup how u doin

2019-08-19 19:17:57 UTC

GG @Deleted User, you just advanced to level 3!

2019-08-19 19:20:19 UTC

why do i feel like somethings probably gonna happen in december

2019-08-19 19:20:20 UTC

GG @Boboh, you just advanced to level 2!

2019-08-19 19:21:22 UTC

@Boboh because reeee orange man bad, reelection and more extreme lefties shooting up places to push more gun control?

2019-08-19 19:22:15 UTC

idk just sorta felt like if something might happen in december

2019-08-19 19:22:35 UTC

Oh something is going to happen.

2019-08-19 19:23:02 UTC

What exactly, no idea
