Cold water = deadly.

I like how my girlfriend used to drink hot tap water, telling me how healthy hot water is. Until I took her to the roof to see the central boiler, which looks disgusting. So I told her: "Look, hot water comes from here. That's what you're drinking. Maybe it's in there for days, maybe weeks. Maybe it's clean, maybe there's a dead rat inside."

I had a friend who I met in Texas, he was from the chinese city i live in now, actually. He studied and lived in USA for 5 years without returning to mainland once, and he came back a few months ago for a visit a few times

he was like disgusted. He kept telling me he had culture shock in china and how he wanted to go back to usa

how he didnt realize how shitty everything was in china before, but now that he's back he hated it so much

he even didnt want to spend time with his family - since they would never shut the fuck up about him saying that china is better than USA, pressuring him to do shit etc.

he was here for like 5 days after 5 years visit, then left early to travel in nearby countries

I've been thinking about what I actually like about mainland China and the best I've come up with is there are some nice scenary
