if you have a teacher degree, then yes, that opens more options to you. you can teach at the posh international schools
which is more pay and a bit more legitimate
if you want a teaching job in china - and you have a degree (in anything) I can get you an interview tomorrow and on a plane by next week
china is DESPERATE for teachers because everyone fucks off after 1 week
so dont think you dont qualify. If you are from a native english speaking country, and you have a degree, done. job.
if you ARENT from a native english speaking country, and have a degree, you can still get work, but are limited in where in china you can work
if you arent from a native english speaking country and you dont have a degree, you can STILL get work in china - but it wont be legal or legitimate
White? Instant hire. Anything else? Semi-instant hire.
you'll have more issues with an asian face than you would with a black face
but its not impossible, seriously. i work with asian face americans and black face africans. they are so desperate for literally anybody
No credit checks, no drug screenings, nothing.
Maybe I'm putting too much stock in that rating shit the Chinagov put out... last year?
i havent heard anything about it since
Where they noted that you got certain points for filling certain criteria, such as working in an unattractive city etc.
they just like to make new shit up but never follows through
Makes sense. Totally in line with what I've come to expect from Cheena.

Ages from now. :+1:
5 years from now, essentially.
dutch? hmm that may be difficult
Try to say you are smarter than others without sounding like an obnoxious cunt on the internet. It is impossible.
@Deleted User You'll be able to land a job as a English teacher
in several countries
I guess pay is not that great then ?
murican english teacher in korea I knew made around 2k usd per month
not much
Ah that is not very enticing
Depends. Some positions come with accommodations and such.
Do whites also work as liasion there ? To communicate with western businessmen for example? I have decent "people skills" and if could help overcome cultural barriers that seems like a valuable skill in business/marketing
@Deleted User You can get by and you'll get paid more than locals
also yes they do have liasons but they usually speak the language of the country
I'd imagine those are in short supply though.
What would you have in expendable income with a job like that ?
I have no problems with learning some Chinese/korean/whatever for 6 months or something
@Deleted User short supply yes but you need really get the language down to land a job like that
you can work for foreign embassy's as a translator/liason
easier route is to teach english in the ASIA or even ASEAN but the whole liason thing pays a great deal better
How much better than 2000 a month ?
A lot
because you're getting paid a regular salary for said country
