Beat him with a book.
"average"
Why would you put Miscellaneous and What's left in different spots.....
My guess is miscellaneous is something like car repairs or new fridge, so it should be called an emergency fun, and what's left should be savings
Ya, but if nothing comes up (but its good to save money for this anyway). It still should be put in the same place.
childcare = nannies
property taxes and mortgage on $1.5m. why don't you downsize?
THREE VACATIONS A YEAR
do you need to own a BMW? why not a Ford?
They probably feel average where they live
To be fair, in SF you could definitely feel pretty average with $500,000 a year
They still have debt, which I would suggest pulling from some areas to pay down more.
I'm guessing they both have demanding jobs which necessitates the high childcare cost, probably a problem for a lot of couples now a days that both the man and woman are expected to work.
3 vacations a year that cost a total of $18k, too
holy shit
every one of my (1 to 2 day long vacations) each year are "I stay at home and don't have to work"
yes, that's totally "average"
also
18k to charity?
if they feel like they don't make enough money, maybe don't give to charity?
I'd give a lot more than that at that income honestly
sure, but if they're complaining about their salary feeling "average"
also, I barely save more fun money than them per year, and I'm living in my family home still to cut down on costs
Yeah but then they're "greedy"
AND I spend basically 0 money
(also it's not really "fun money" it's "I want to be able to buy a house when I move out, not rent an apartment and watch my money go down a drain" money)
Between the tax rate and the childcare cost, it seems like they might not lose much from one of them not working
the point i was making is that it's all about the financial choices you make. you can live way below your means and actually retire a lot sooner
Yep.
Sounds weird unless you realize they are well on the way to automating https://www.cnbc.com/2019/03/27/mcdonalds-reportedly-to-stop-lobbying-against-minimum-wage-hikes.html
Yeah, just cuts down on potential competition at this point
yeah, sounds like they got everything in place to replace the jobs they're going to lose
So from they're point of view it hurts their competitors more
the most important part in the article....McDonalds wants it applied to all buisnesses
I mean, is there any more iconic action for a massive corporation to take than to kick down the ladder on anyone that wants to follow in their path?
And that's how you monopoly
ehhh burger king etc can match. Its the small buissness that would be fucked
Mcdonalds benefits from minimum wage hikes as much as anyone. They don't reject it , they welcome it
yeah for the Jessie Jackson firm.....I wouldn't call that community servicce
