When the VA scandal was happening under Obama, I asked my grandfather if he thought they were going to fix it. He told they've been saying that since he first got there. He joined the VA after the Korean war and worked there until the 80s. that's when I knew the VA was never going to be fixed.

the problem is with the VA is that it's this big bureaucracy you change one little piece a million other pieces get changed with it most of those little pieces get changed for the worse and then you have a bigger problem. the only thing that would work is to tear the whole thing down and start over again.

And the people i work with there

But it is not the best healthcare, i go because the price is right

My mother uses mayo, and its a ton better, and the price is right on it

My father uses one of the worst VA hospitals in the country, and its a shit show

Also VA doesnt cover dental, and obviously the psych treatment has issues, they hand out antidepressents like candy
