When the VA scandal was happening under Obama, I asked my grandfather if he thought they were going to fix it. He told they've been saying that since he first got there. He joined the VA after the Korean war and worked there until the 80s. that's when I knew the VA was never going to be fixed.
yeah, they don't actually care about veterans
the problem is with the VA is that it's this big bureaucracy you change one little piece a million other pieces get changed with it most of those little pieces get changed for the worse and then you have a bigger problem. the only thing that would work is to tear the whole thing down and start over again.
But we should make it bigger and less accountable and force every us citizen into it /s
Reminds me of the guy I used to know who used to blather about how the VA is a right decent organization that is just underfunded.
He also used to be big billy badass about how much of a great service he did for his country in the Air Force, even though he got medically retired right after his MOS training.
