That actually makes me very sad.

2019-06-03 20:17:28 UTC

Sentencing should be based on intent not outcome

2019-06-03 20:18:11 UTC

Intent cannot be proven.

2019-06-03 20:18:19 UTC

Outcome many times can.

2019-06-03 20:19:24 UTC

And the percentage of accuracy, wether its 100% or 95% really depends on what you think humans are worth. Personally i would put human worth at a lot less than the cost of lifetime imprisonment

2019-06-03 20:20:41 UTC

If you cant prove intent but can prove negligence, then the punishment should be lesser

2019-06-03 20:30:09 UTC

The abortion article is a joke, "look the exagerate the number of late term abortions" then "their real goal is to hold women accountable for miscarriages" i.e. they are bad for outlining outliers now look at my outlier

2019-06-03 20:31:58 UTC

The people that cite rape, incest and health of the mother as the reasons abortion should be legal are bitching about exaggerating numbers? Fucking LOL

2019-06-03 20:44:05 UTC

that's pretty silly, considering that the bills explicitly target doctors, not expecting mothers

2019-06-03 21:10:10 UTC

from that guardian article: *There are the old lies, like the ones suggesting that the women having abortions are careless hussies (51% of abortions are to women who were using contraception; 59% are to women who are already mothers; 75% are to poor and low-income women). Lately, there’s a huge new lie making the rounds, that women and doctors are conspiring to kill babies at birth and calling it abortion.*
Those stats don't disprove the accusation. 49% weren't using birth control (also how many were using it correctly and at the time of conception), being a mother doesn't mean you weren't sleeping around, being poor also doesn't mean you weren't sleeping around.
Also, the second part isn't a lie if the governor of virginia (a doctor) was literally making the case for it on a radio show.

2019-06-03 21:17:41 UTC

“In Minnesota in 2017, for example, out of more than 10,000 abortions, three live fetuses were recorded, but died soon after.”

2019-06-03 21:17:47 UTC

That is horrific

2019-06-03 21:18:07 UTC

Also if they’re born, they’re not fetuses anymore by definition

2019-06-03 21:19:07 UTC

Three live bundles of cells were cleansed. Why are you trying to tell women what to do with their bodies?

2019-06-03 21:20:19 UTC

*has more dead baby jokes*

2019-06-03 21:22:26 UTC

“Some fear the new laws may lead to more widespread criminalization of miscarriages.” In an article about fighting lies, spews more lies.

2019-06-03 21:26:11 UTC

@Mandatory Carry
Lauren is my friend thank you very much.
*doesn't really like her*

Also, you are talking about a different Shaun, that post wasn't from Shaun King..

2019-06-03 21:27:18 UTC

I don’t understand why everybody talks about criminalizing miscarriages. Which doctor will be sent to jail if a woman miscarries?

2019-06-03 21:29:42 UTC

Remember the left does a lot of projecting, so when they say stuff like "using lies", "spreading hate and division", "using fear to manipulate people" that's what they think other people do because that's what they are doing

2019-06-03 21:33:59 UTC

@amlam
Right or wrong, "attempted" has always been half the sentence because it's _"half the crime."_ Our system finds it anethma to hang a man for attempted murder.
@DJ_Anuz
¿What do you think prison is?
@Shadows
...
She committed piracy. Yes, good old fashioned _"walk the plank, ¡yaaaaar!"_ (no not really) piracy. She's not your friend.
Contrition helps, but then again making a film about the original crime doesn't strike me as contrite.

2019-06-03 21:34:54 UTC

You don't get to tell me who my friends are.

2019-06-03 21:35:41 UTC

_"Walk the plank, yaaaaar..."_ lol where do they get that shit from...
@Shadows
Ok. Fine. You wanna be friends with someone who hurt you... Go ahead.
I'm not your father.

2019-06-03 21:36:11 UTC

Oh, thanks.

2019-06-03 21:36:16 UTC

lol

2019-06-03 21:37:50 UTC

@DJ_Anuz Was that a joke or do you really think exile would be better?

2019-06-03 21:39:08 UTC

It's not the policies of the society that make a society better or worse, its the people.

2019-06-03 21:40:08 UTC

I could point to early republican rome as an example of a society that used exile in its best days, but we ain't them, so it doesn't matter.

2019-06-03 21:41:51 UTC

@Shadows
No problem.
Good luck... 😒

2019-06-03 21:44:58 UTC

I don't remember DJ_anuz orignal point, but I do think exile should exist in the world of public policy. Might be useful in seeking dictators to peacefully step down.

2019-06-03 21:46:58 UTC

I don't see how exile would be a good thing for the crimes he talked about. Like... that wouldn't stop them from doing those things again somewhere else.

2019-06-03 21:49:11 UTC

Again. Devil’s island. They can rape and murder each other all they want

2019-06-03 21:50:16 UTC

I don't like that idea either.

2019-06-03 21:50:48 UTC

I'm disappointed Shadows, I was expecting an argument!

2019-06-03 21:50:56 UTC

its the same as prison without paroll

2019-06-03 21:50:57 UTC

I thought that's what my country was

2019-06-03 21:51:26 UTC

or Liberia...

2019-06-03 21:51:44 UTC

you can leave liberia

2019-06-03 21:54:14 UTC

@RoadtoDawn I'm more then happy to argue, was waiting for someone to put something up to do so with.

2019-06-03 21:54:19 UTC

You can at any time :)
