@[DGI]tech what are the Ben Shapiro says the best way to make it into the middle class is have a high school diploma a job and not have kids before you're married

2019-07-19 06:30:18 UTC

Correct. I've seen plenty of his videos.

2019-07-19 06:30:23 UTC

he didn't say dont be rich first

2019-07-19 06:30:31 UTC

or be rich first

2019-07-19 06:30:55 UTC

that's why I see it as a selfish out

2019-07-19 06:30:55 UTC

Yeah and that is pretty sound advice, none of it requires a graduate degree or to wait to settle down until after 30.

2019-07-19 06:31:03 UTC

@Deleted User you don't need to be rich to have a good family life

2019-07-19 06:31:04 UTC

Kids are not on the near horizon. I still have to get the "relationship" part down first, lol.

2019-07-19 06:31:20 UTC

How old are you DGI?

2019-07-19 06:31:24 UTC

23.

@uncephalized an associate's degree is really a good one considering it's two years and you could take and I'll class and something like automotive for welding and make a lot of money and not as much money spent on classes

2019-07-19 06:31:41 UTC

^^^

2019-07-19 06:31:47 UTC

I have my Associates in Computer Networking.

2019-07-19 06:31:54 UTC

And recently received my CCNA R&S.

2019-07-19 06:31:58 UTC

@[DGI]tech and how long did it take you to get

2019-07-19 06:32:19 UTC

2-years. I went full-time even through summer.

2019-07-19 06:32:20 UTC

OK you're all right. Just don't put off looking or you'll wake up 5 years from now with no partner and a lot less time to find one...

2019-07-19 06:32:34 UTC

The certification didn't come until a year or so later. I slacked.

2019-07-19 06:32:40 UTC

@uncephalized I think you're good at finding won't as long as you know you're not 45 and single

2019-07-19 06:32:44 UTC

Yeah associates and trade certs are great.

2019-07-19 06:33:14 UTC

I think my issue right now is that I don't put myself out there enough, and make small talk with other coworkers or whoever the fuck I find attractive.

2019-07-19 06:33:19 UTC

dont get an associates in automotive, its a total waste

2019-07-19 06:33:26 UTC

the college loan debt plays into this idea that you need to be rich first

2019-07-19 06:33:29 UTC

@uncephalized I think people fail to see that because you know skills always pushed you need to go to a 4-year college to be successful. It's in the local college does a technical schools like $85 a credit our

2019-07-19 06:33:35 UTC

@Big T why not

2019-07-19 06:33:39 UTC

2019-07-19 06:33:41 UTC

2019-07-19 06:33:46 UTC

My coworker is like, 100k in debt for a 4-year.

2019-07-19 06:33:50 UTC

And we work the same job.

2019-07-19 06:33:51 UTC

2019-07-19 06:33:52 UTC

2019-07-19 06:33:55 UTC

2019-07-19 06:34:07 UTC

@Big T how do you do that

2019-07-19 06:34:11 UTC

Go learn plumbing or welding or electrician cert if you want a trade cert that will always be relevant and profitable...

2019-07-19 06:34:16 UTC

millions of young people conned into debt with no chance of being financially independent who think they cant have kids otherwise

2019-07-19 06:34:20 UTC

go to shops and see if theyre hiring

2019-07-19 06:34:30 UTC

you become an apprentice under a master tech

2019-07-19 06:34:38 UTC

This is true.

2019-07-19 06:34:45 UTC
