Im not clear how libetarian (as a party) believes in national defense but doesn't believe in secure borders. Secure borders is at its core a defense issue, sure some people may prioritise employment/economic concerns, but the central and what should be unifying principal should be defense

Also suprised i havent seen any rebuttal articles to warrens wealth tax of someone pointing out the existing wealth tax which 1.9% last year, i.e. inflation

Anyhow the lp makes no sense to me, they say they believe in defense, but the language around it is structured likd they believe in retaliation but no prevention

Just as they say that dangerous immigrants should be stopped from entry, but they believe in open borders. How do you stop what hasn't been verified

They won't admit that's what they actually believe, but it's probably pretty close.

I'm not really one to go around telling others what they "believe", all you have to do is ask one to see what that person thinks.

Libertarian is an umbrella term, so you're going to get shifts in dominant thought process. What you have to ask is whether they did that because they don't want the fed to have a standing army or because they don't want any army at all.

I feel if we are at war, we need to act like it, it needs to be felt across the country as we are all in to get it over quick. This war as a business stuff is bullshit, it never ends because the majority of society doesn't feel it.
