Agreed

2019-06-03 18:47:59 UTC

Just seeing that guy’s face makes me cringe

2019-06-03 19:42:28 UTC

Joel Osteen is running a scam on the level that makes the Televangelists of the eighties and nineties look like chumps.

2019-06-03 19:59:13 UTC

Honestly I'm not sure why people seem to have an exceptional problem with Joel Osteen. Sure I have disagreements with him but all I've heard is something about him supposedly saying give me money and God will make you rich which seems like a strawman I've never seen him say

2019-06-03 20:00:15 UTC

The problem parts of the church have with him is that he is teaching a false gospel.

2019-06-03 20:01:15 UTC

He's exactly the kind of false apostle Paul, Peter, and others wrote about

2019-06-03 20:02:17 UTC

He’s a “prosperity preacher”. Rather than preach about doing good works because of your love of God as James said, he claims that if you do good things then God will bless you. Which is essentially an eastern philosophy and in no way scriptural

2019-06-03 20:02:27 UTC

^^

2019-06-03 20:08:28 UTC

Yeah but ultimately why would you become a Christian in the first place, obviously you see some kind of benefit to you in it, it isn't necessarily material or Earthly but at some level it benefits you, otherwise why would someone who isn't a Christian and doesn't already love God become Christian? I find the theology of those who rail against the "prosperity gospel" equally lacking and ultimately disingenuous

2019-06-03 20:09:08 UTC

It's a false gospel because it doesn't come from Christ.

2019-06-03 20:19:44 UTC

I don't know I find the complete opposite position sounds a bit like a Gnostic heresy so I'm not convinced that isn't a false gospel either

2019-06-03 20:31:58 UTC

Would anyone care if churches didn't get tax exemptions?

2019-06-03 20:40:48 UTC

I actually think that might be better since it's been used to stop political speech by churches

2019-06-03 21:37:12 UTC

Go ahead and tax churches. Be prepared for Appalachian taliban.

2019-06-03 21:37:29 UTC

What is the minecraft server ip done by those matt christiansen fans?

2019-06-03 21:38:50 UTC

I don't know anything about that, but did you check the <#581182063928147996> ?

2019-06-03 21:39:18 UTC

Thank you!

2019-06-03 21:39:25 UTC

Also, Shadows is a pretty cool name!

2019-06-03 21:43:23 UTC

Oh Chirst not that _"OLSTEAN is a con man"_ shit again...

2019-06-03 23:12:55 UTC

I'm not sure anyone is following it, but does anyone think brexit was illegal because the leave side over spent some money? I know the remind side was just as bad or worst, but i'm wondering if anyone still thinks it makes brexit illegitimate (ya it doesn't matter because we are way pass that issue now).

2019-06-03 23:14:56 UTC

>I'm not sure anyone is following it

>the remind side

2019-06-03 23:15:08 UTC

Almost forgot, thanks

2019-06-04 00:12:59 UTC

@Shadows. I dont know how brit politics work, but since money is a way to show your support then using money for publicity isn't illegal it just means the position is more supported

2019-06-04 00:13:23 UTC

Noone cried fowl when hillary spent like 50% more to loose to trump

2019-06-04 00:30:06 UTC

So my cousins first baby boy is named Fenrir.... I don’t think they understand he will eventually go to school.

2019-06-04 00:37:30 UTC

Do they even teach Norse mythology in school?

2019-06-04 00:42:19 UTC

@Putz For brexit, it had set rules on what was allowed to spend, you could spend more but you had to not coordinate any extra money to the main campaign, and seemly (tho not sure if that was fully proven yet), that leave side did that. It made the process illegal (this persons argument). They are looking for a 2nd referendum.

2019-06-04 00:53:39 UTC

one remainer with Sargon argued that it was invalid because her side cheated and they should have another vote because of it

2019-06-04 01:02:50 UTC

Wait isn't Fenrir the wolf that's supposed to destroy everything? Why would you name someone that?

2019-06-04 01:03:38 UTC

Yes he is

2019-06-04 01:14:39 UTC

@Shadows its all hokey, how do you establish money spent on facebook bot farms in russia or media coverage?

2019-06-04 01:22:36 UTC

I dont know the laws, this article says overspending is a fine, it doesnt invalidate the result

https://capx.co/remain-not-leave-had-an-unfair-advantage-in-the-eu-referendum/

2019-06-04 01:23:12 UTC

And if it did, isn't that more a reflection of the education systems lack of focus on civics than on the outcome of the vote

2019-06-04 01:24:08 UTC

I personally think a revote would only strengthen the call to brexit, because people will feel they have been ignored and people are fishing for the answer they want

2019-06-04 01:24:10 UTC

@Shadows
Not illegal. Not really unethical, but might carry a little baggage for a couple years.

2019-06-04 20:54:30 UTC

tally up the millions in taxes that went to BBC so they could campaign for remain, and see who over spent.

2019-06-04 23:06:33 UTC

Today's the anniversary of both Tiananmen Square and the Killdozer. Not sure how I should feel about that.

2019-06-04 23:07:11 UTC

Give the China man a killdozer
