Fasc Mountain

2019-07-06 00:00:52 UTC

So I did some research

2019-07-06 00:01:04 UTC

Its possible the guy was legal the whole time, but it would require a huge level of lawyer fuckery

2019-07-06 00:01:31 UTC

Getting expelled in 2012 would mean he would have to immediately apply for another visa, either an H1B or some other work visa

2019-07-06 00:01:44 UTC

or get married but there's no evidence he was married from what I can see.

2019-07-06 00:03:01 UTC

I'm guessing he heard you can get status by serving in the armed services but you HAVE to be a legal resident so he somehow maintained legal status between 2012 and 2015

2019-07-06 00:07:07 UTC

at that point he's probably eligible for a green card somehow

2019-07-06 00:37:00 UTC

watching Sargon's video on the Dalai Lama and it got me thinking about the DL's stance, train them then return them, seems like probably a very good option if they're fleeing shitholes why not teach them the skills to improve their home countries

2019-07-06 00:37:49 UTC

Proof they can learn pls

2019-07-06 00:39:28 UTC

something the west could do is take on a quote of people from a country to train in exchange for investment in their countries or in exchange for potential trade deals, not just help them fix their own countries but get them on the same side and potentially make money with future trade partners

2019-07-06 00:40:03 UTC

focusing especially on engineers

2019-07-06 00:40:41 UTC

A commie dictatorship would see that as subversion via treaty or something

2019-07-06 00:40:53 UTC

i think it's a good compromise between the extremes of open borders and isolationism

2019-07-06 00:41:04 UTC

then they can simply fuck off then

2019-07-06 00:41:33 UTC

If you could make the concept work, it's a great leap forward

2019-07-06 00:41:49 UTC

it's also something the west could offer countries in Africa to serve as an alternative to chinese influence

2019-07-06 00:42:49 UTC

it could also be used for training police forces and even military for these countries helping them become more stable

2019-07-06 00:44:08 UTC

I hate agreeing with the Dalai Lama...

2019-07-06 00:49:42 UTC

Kony had the right idea then some naked fruit went and ruined it

2019-07-06 00:52:08 UTC

@Lord Zedd your still making an assumption that the worlds problems are owned by america

2019-07-06 00:52:23 UTC

i didn't even say America

2019-07-06 00:52:32 UTC

I wouldn't even pilot the idea there

2019-07-06 00:52:42 UTC

but it'

2019-07-06 00:53:08 UTC

s better to have trade partners than dependents seems like this is a way to potentially turn the latter into the former

2019-07-06 00:53:48 UTC

Okay, sorry i was overly specific. Your assuming a stable countries owes it to a unstable country to improve their situation

2019-07-06 00:53:58 UTC

no i'm not

2019-07-06 00:54:18 UTC

I'm assuming that it's better for everyone to have more stable countries

2019-07-06 00:54:30 UTC

less need for migration then

2019-07-06 00:54:34 UTC

no need for aid

2019-07-06 00:54:40 UTC

less need for military

2019-07-06 00:55:01 UTC

It has never worked before

2019-07-06 00:55:17 UTC

You dont think buying peace has been attempted

2019-07-06 00:55:26 UTC

it's not buying peace

2019-07-06 00:55:53 UTC

So whats in it for the stable country?

2019-07-06 00:55:56 UTC

it's investing in the future of other countries and it has worked, it's an extension of the US' military philosophy

2019-07-06 00:56:03 UTC

turn enemies into friends

2019-07-06 00:56:07 UTC

Japan, Vietnam

2019-07-06 00:56:33 UTC

You want to help the third world, stop farming subsidies

2019-07-06 00:57:53 UTC

The west has kept the third world poor delibertly by protectionist policies that actually increase production costs

2019-07-06 00:58:06 UTC

some western countries already implement the idea on a very small scale, I'm thinking it could be expanded on with a bit more quid pro quo involved

2019-07-06 00:58:26 UTC

Japan wasnt cheap
